Good Cold Morning!

Since it's Saturday, the MBH is downstairs doing breakfast. I am doing my best to stay out of her way, because I get to enjoy the homemade biscuits and things that go with them.

I was just thinking of the things that she creates that I like, since I am a rather picky eater.

I only like things that start with A.

A homemade biscuit
A slice of homemade Lemon Pound Cake
A slice of homemade apple pie
A piece of home fried chicken
A bowl of chili on a cold day like today
A........, never mind, you get my drift.

Ya'll have a blessed day,

Leon

I do find it interesting that as the weather gets colder, the topic of food keeps coming up more frequently...

It does help when your better half is a great cook . In 38+ years mine has never cooked a bad meal , this woman can cook . Our favourite Mexican place closed down , they made homemade tortillas . I was complaining because I can make a meal out of warm homemade tortillas . What did she do ? She researched recipes for the best one , and tried it out . Then she bought a press and warmer , all because I wanted homemade tortillas . She's a keeper and one he** of a cook . And she shoots .

I love donuts, chocolate and grilled meat but can't have it all the time, otherwise we would need to extend our entrance door. At the moment i am on a 900 calorie diet https://bеtterme.world/articles/900-calorie-diet/ and must admit it is easier that i imagined its gonna be. Looking forward to see significant results in the mirror.

There is one meal I can only stand to do without for so long! I warn the wife that my limit will soon be exceeded and we will soon be having:

21 ounce bone in Ribeye, medium well.

a good sized Caeser salad.

Baked spud with butter.

A few fresh from the oven rolls

Red Wine!

For dessert, brownie with overflowing fudge sauce, alamode and whipped cream!

Coffee

I also prefer to have company when eating, so I take along my wife and 2 or 4 friends. That is a great evening!

Ivan

Note to wife: Countdown clock is running!

Second note: The original Post was on my birthday, I had something to his ideal breakfast and my ideal supper. I'm still on a diet paying for a great day. Next time I eat a biscuit I will be toasting Leon!

We do the home made sausage gravy regularly but it mostly gets served with a pan of jalapeno cornbread. :)

Sadly I can not eat much hot stuff. Also greasy or fried foods , have to watch fried things I do eat for to much grease. Some times you have to " bite the bullet" when it comes to fried shrimp or Red Robin onion rings…
