I’m on my second trip to Reno, NV in as many months, trying to make a recovery on a sovereign citizen wannabe engaged in allegedly medicinal horticulture, which the judge supervising his probation back in the Show Me State frowns upon as a legitimate vocation. Any decent non-tactical gun shops here? I don’t have a ton of spare time, and most of my work is over in CA, but I could squeeze in a break for something promising.

My first impression of downtown Reno back in late May was “just say no . . . “

Don't know the gun shops, but I'm a Harrah's player in NC, and the staff in Harrah's Reno we're exceptionally hospitable, immediately upon arrival, and afterward.

Harrah's Reno closed in 2020 and has not reopened yet, and sadly it appears that it will not reopen. It was located downtown and was a great value. I had found memories of the place.
That's a shame. They had good comps and loose machines.
We'd casino hop when going on cross-country jaunts, and they were a great landing pad before the left coast.
Darn pandemic has kept me away.

We've got shuttered casinos all over Las Vegas and on the I-15. The Texas and the Fiesta are still closed, and the Gold Strike at jean and Buffalo Bills at Primm (aka Stateline) are still closed. Rumor control says the Gold Strike will be demolished, as was the hotel/casino on the West side of the freeway at Jean some years ago. The outlet mall at Primm is also giving its death rattle. Most of the stores are closed. It wasn't doing well before COVID, but now it's nearly gone.

I appreciate the discussion and suggestions. I completed my business after an all day excursion and just returned the rental. Didn’t have time for recreation, except the beer I’m currently drinking while watching my beloved Cardinals. Leaving tomorrow . . .
