Picked up a neat K/L frame Vu Plate from a fellow collector. Certainly a plus for double checking any work performed to a K/L frame revolver. It looks like Greene's Gun Shop is still going strong since 1960! Just thought I’d share.
Dayton Traister was affiliated with Greene's in day's past. They had a presence on Greene's website. It's not clear to me how they're connected now, although both have the same Oak Harbor address and phone number.
Check out the link. They show the Vu-plate. If you're interested, call them up. The last time I was over there, they were a friendly bunch of folks.
I checked the listing, and they are listed at $14.95 (plus shipping). I wish I had found these many years ago when I was doing a lot of interior work. I haven't opened one up for a few years now.
That is really cool. I’ve thought of trying to make something like that, but doubt it would be precise enough to work. I wish they made them for N-frames too, but I’m going to order one. Thanks for the link.
