I don't want to get in trouble (again), but I do need to share this with you guys 'n gals. Especially since we have many coffee drinkers here.

After decades of drinking coffee, never finding just the right one to stick with, the search is finally over.

My wife came across Minutemen Coffee Company and got a few samples (6oz. bags), and what can I tell you, that coffee is just right. It smells amazing and hits just the right spot.

We've tried several different roasts and this one - AN APPEAL TO HEAVEN - is the last one we have to try. Our favorites are VICTORY and COME AND TAKE IT. They are smooth, w/o any hint of bitterness, and are really enjoyable all day long. I'm sure above mentioned AATH falls right into that as well, and they all come in 16oz (1lb) size.

Because of that we have decided to subscribe to recurring coffee deliveries. You can choose from a 30-, 45-, or 60-day delivery, but I think the 60-day delivery is for large orders only. Speaking of large, they offer 5lb bags.... how great is that?!

They don't just offer light, medium and dark roasts, they also offer decaf, white coffee (super high in caffeine), 5lb bags, pods, and special limited-edition roasts. They are available as whole bean and drip grind.

Give it a try, you won't regret it!!

At nearly $20/Lb and offering installment payments on coffee purchases, I think I'll have to pass.

It's a subscription service and they'll ship the coffee to you, it's not a payment plan. And there will be a discount if you subscribe. I'm sorry if my post was confusing.

I've previously used Gevalia which was around $9 (plus tax) for 12oz. I'm now paying $16.83 for 16oz. shipped to my door while supporting an American small business who in return supports our military and first responders.

I can make a pound of beans last about 4 months, so I do not mind paying for the good stuff. My present container has a mix of half a pound of Jamaica Blue Mountain dark roast and half a pound of Sulawesi medium roast. Just the right amount of caffeine, not much acid and smooth.

From the site:

"Pay in 4 interest-free installments for orders over $50.00 with Learn more"

Coffee is not something anyone should have to pay for in installments.

I see. That's a check-out system more and more are using now, providers like Klarna, Affirm and their sub companies or -user of however that works. You don't have to utilize the payment plan; you can just pay it all at once. It's nice to have if you make larger purchases (guns, furniture, etc.) and I thought about getting it for my business as well to be honest.

Took me a long time to find the right one. I hope you didn't take as long as I did :D

I routinely try different brands, mostly small, local, roasters. I will suggest you try a cold brew if you find your coffee bitter from hot brewing. Once I tried cold brew, I have NEVER gone back, except for espresso. That needs a bitterness!

Same with Black Rifle Coffee. I am happy with Walmart Donut Shop brand. In the end, it's all about giving the flavored creamer a place to live.

Not really related, but I have noticed that the Black Rifle coffee shop near my home seems to do considerably more business than the Starbucks coffee shop which is about a block away from the BR shop. I guess that says something about the BR coffee. I am not a coffee drinker and disavow having any knowledge of how to distinguish between good and bad coffee.

There are two more coffee shop chains now building locations all over town - Dutch Brothers and Black Rock. I know zip about both, not likely I will ever set foot inside either one.

I've tried them too and I didn't like it. They are also too flashy for me on the internet.

If you take the Minutemen 5lb bag on a subscription (30- or 45-day, don't matter) it comes down to $12.75 per pound. I'll gladly pay that and get it delivered to my door.

Price is one thing, sure. But if you are after taste, just give it a try. Plus, you'll support an American business with pro American values, not a big box store or chain who turns around and stabs you in the back.

Again, I'm not getting any kickbacks, it's really just a recommendation. Nothing more, nothing less.

I live about two blocks away from a commercial coffee roasting company, and if the wind blows the right direction I can smell it. They have an attached coffee shop, famous locally for its collection of old pinball machines that customers can play. As neither I nor my wife are coffee drinkers, we have never been there.

Tea smells good as well, but I do prefer coffee. Why not visit and give it a try?

I used to grind my own beans but since I have the taste buds of a Philestene, I switched to Maxwell House French Roast. The last time that I bought it, a 24 oz can was $4.99. Fortunately, I bought a ton because it is now going for $12.99 a can. A can lasts 18 days.

So there's no Made in the USA option?
