OUR FAVORITE COFFEE JUST TRIPLED IN PRICE!

I just bought 5 cans of gevalia at the discount store the other day for a buck each. I had to stop at Goodwill and find a small coffee maker cause I couldn't find mine. Found one of those 4 cup drip things NIB for 5 bucks. Still have that Keurig pod thing..my wife found a bunch of tea pods she liked for cheap at the discount store so she's happy. nd when it comrd to beef I have a whole bunch of slow elk around the house. Think the next door rancher would miss one?

How does one loose a coffee maker ?

Well...If the one I bought hadn't been new in the box...It could've been my old one. My wife buys stuff at Goodwill...which means she takes c**p to Goodwill. If she buys clothes there 9 out of 10 times they are new with original price tags. When we were there the other day she was wearing a new set of clothes that she got Pendleton Woolrich Beans. Her stuff was new when she got it. She saved the new price tags..almost 200 bucks. Cost her 14 dollars She does leave my shooting stuff alone however.

She just told me that I have to report the coffee maker I had was kinda burned up partially melted because I never shut the darn thing off. . She's now proofreading and making sure this got posted...LOL Can't blame her for anything these days

8 O'clock Coffee is pretty good stuff, but I am usually up several hours earlier and have to make do with whatever works before 8:00AM.

Found a few old wooden nickel tokens from Sambo's restaurant, probably early 1970s when you could have a cup for 5 cents. Hoping to find a Sambo's so I can use those.

Dunkin' Donuts always had great coffee when I was a young cop. Dime per cup, free refills, back in those days. Last time I went to a Dunkin' Donuts shop it cost me nearly $5 for a cup and a raised donut.

Brother-in-law gave us a Keurig machine at Christmas a few years ago. Great product! One cup at a time, fresh brewed and hot. Wife can have her fancy flavored coffee-like concoctions, I can have 100% Colombian or Dark French Roast, we are both happy.

Good or bad, I have always been a "If I wanted it, I'd buy it" person, only casually looking at grocery prices. Lately I have started to look at pricing and become a miserable, miserly curmudgeon. I am stunned at the pricing of staples at all of our local grocery stores. I truly don't know how some folks are getting by.

Have you been to a restaurant lately? That's some eye popping experience.

Some crazy pricing I have seen recently....$4.95 for a glass of Coke. $ 18.95 for a bacon cheeseburger and fries. $8.99 for a slice of "specialty pizza" And the dreaded "Market Price" for chicken wing.
Apparently, chicken wings are the new lobster.

Some new pizza shop opened in the Cary NC area recently, hailed as " one of the best pizza shops in NYC". They import heavily chlorinated NYC water. :p

My wife said maybe we should try it, so I looked at their website. Holy Moly, $28 for a large pie.:rolleyes::rolleyes::D

Uh, no thanks unless there's diamonds in the cheese. :p:D

29 bucks for the piece of Heaven which is the Sicilian pizza at L&B Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn.
