I went on line the other day and just shook my head at some of the prices, being asked for a box of 20, for some rifles.
I can't believe that my little 22-250 ammo cost MORE to buy
than a box of 30-06 ammo !!
Something is very wrong.
Supply of 22-250 is much lower than 30-06.
Your absolute best bet is to use this as an excuse to set yourself up for reloading. You'll cut your ammo bill by 60-70% and you'll no longer have to worry about "availability" of a specific caliber.
For example, you'll find brass, powder, primers, and 22 cal bullets all over the place now. Finding loaded 22-250 cartridges would be much harder.
Not to mention you'll have more accurate ammo because you can tailor it to your specific firearm.
