A nickel Mod. 36 with box, papers, tools, and original sales receipt. Fits right in with the other dozen or so Chiefs Special examples I have. This one was sold to the original owner in Dec. 1969. Here it is in the hands of the second owner, Dec. 2022. The last 53 years have been good to it.
Picture as it was unboxed by me the first time. I was happy to say the least. All made possible by fellow Forum member Gunsquirrel. Thanks, Joe.....

Yah, the Magpul is about one tenth the price of the H-K A3F stock. What do you think of it so far?

I've not shot it yet, but it fits perfect, and the slide mechanism works great. Seems most well made.

I'd like to find a HK A3 over the A3F, but the original A3 is around 3 to $400 more than the F model.

Beautiful, I hope you paid Gunsquirrel a proper profit for that gem! One hundred dollars seems about right!:D:rolleyes:

I got my Wife a new Walther PDP-F for Christmas.

She had done her research, Got to try it before buying and loved it. she was going to save up for it and get it herself, so I beat her to it. :)

It fits her hand perfectly, nice factory trigger, Smooth recoil.
Once she gets a new paddle holster for it (she prefers OWB and does not prefer to wear a belt), the PDP-F will become new new carry pistol.

At the Cody Gun Show the first weekend of December I acquired something kinda out of my comfort zone I never buy Brownings but there was a really nice BL-22 for sale at 400 bucks Got it for 375. Nice but I still like my Marlin 39A better. Short lever throw though!

I am absolutely GREEN with envy. I wish I could convince my wife to carry. Even if I couldn't get her to be interested & informed enough to select her own carry gun. Just getting her to agree to carry SOMETHING for personal protection would make me a VERY happy camper.
As much as I love her just as she is, I really wish I could convince her to take her personal safety as seriously as I do.
Sadly, she is one of those gentle souls that would probably never actually be able to drop the hammer on someone, even if it was her last line of defense to avoid bodily harm to herself. In defense of our kids, maybe, but in self-defense, probably not.
Consider yourself lucky in that regard.

Forum member luvsmiths helped a friend sell some guns here including this one. The gun was made for her and given to her as a gift with her name as the serial number. I’ve always thought the Seecamp was an intriguing gun and am glad I got this one and got to hear the story from Margie. Thanks, Mark.
Regards,

Stopped in a gun shop at lunch time, ended up leaving with a new Colt .45 Classic Gov’t Model. I didn’t really need another Colt .45 pistol, but it never hurts to have a few extra .45’s around. Maybe I’ll run across another .38 Super next year, had no luck finding any around here this year.

I bought this aluminium camera case at a market today whilst on holidays down on the Far South Coast (East coast of Australia). Couldn't find anything on it to identify the maker other than a "Made in Japan" inscription on swivel mounts for a shoulder strap. Possibly a Hakuba brand from what little I could find on the internet. Seller said that he bought it in 1977 to transport his camera gear from France to Australia when he immigrated. Cost me about $25 USD.

Going to use it to Transport my ammo to and from the range. (Aust gun law that ammo must be transported separately to the firearm in locked container when travelling to and from the range).

Any ideas on what I could use to clean it up?

I bought a Savage branded Suwa made 7/8” 3-7x20 scope.

It looks to be unused, with 40-50 years of shelf, drawer and closet wear on the box.

I have a pair of 7/8” Savage rings incoming for it as well.

It will go on my retro “first rifle I ever owned” project:
