Corduroy?

Last week, Went semi-dressy to a funeral.
Weasel Down.
Would normally wear my Black Blazer.
Weather was nasty, wore my best looking Black Nylon Jacket.

I’ve been to several weddings lately and the style nowadays is a medium blue suit or sports coat and slacks with brown Oxford shoes. Not seeing any of the young or stylish people wearing black shoes or loafers just old guys, which is strange.

Surprise everyone and wear a pair of lederhosen. A perfect fit for the forest. Whatever you wear, wear it with pride and don't listen to comments. Is your choice.

I had a lady friend once who asked why all men have a Harris tweed sport coat. Reply: it's our version of the "little black dress". Suitable for most any occasion.

If you hear about seismic readings from the Gettysburg area, that's me jumping for joy at being able to fit in my Harris tweed jacket again.

Corduroy sport coats have never gone out of style. But forget the Dockers brand and get something equivalent by a different maker. Dockers have become stereotyped as the "go to" brand that people buy who think they need something dressier than jeans but not as dressy as wool slacks and therefore show a lack of imagination.

And don't forget good shoes and a matching belt. It's always better to be the best dressed person at an event than the worst.
