Small Pistol Primers – Made in Argentina - QTY 1000
The primers seat well and seem to be consistent. They are hard enough to not go bang first strike in a lightened action striker fire semi auto. Over 20% will not fire first (or 2nd) strike in a stock action revolver. They do fire fine first strike in an inertial firing pin semi auto, such as a 1911 type, with a steel firing pin.

I guess I've lucked out on these as I've read others have had FTF as Minconrevo posted. As of now around 600 rounds fired on 686-6 4" and 6", 929, GP100 and Taylors 1873 Cattleman no FTF's. I probably just jinxed myself.:D

Target Sports has CCI-500s for $88 a thousand and Winchester SP for $83 per thousand. That probably works out to around $500 for a carton of 5000 delivered. Foreign primers may work fine but I'd be willing to spend a little more and get US primers.

Was that single action or DA?
I haven't loaded any revolver rounds with them yet.

A S&W N frame with very tight headspace and full strength springs produced the roughly 5 of 6 firing. A match tuned K frame, intended for Fed's or occasional Winchester, had maybe 40% FTF.

Guess I should measure hammer blows on some revolvers to find out what I have that smacks the hardest and run some in it. I will also try double seating, with a RCBS hand tool for the 2nd, some of the primers to see if that changes the picture.

I have loaded 38 Special with these.
Tested in a bone stock 686, all went bang.
In my tuned 986, (9mm) none of them fired.
All deep seated with an RCBS hand tool.

I had some light strikes with the Argentine primers. I compared the primers to Winchester SP and found that the Argentine primers measured .1145" tall and the WW were .1180". I've had to adjust the seating depth to account for the difference in size. Haven't tried any since changing the depth. It may be that the misfires were caused by the primers not being fully seated.

OP stated Norma primers, not SA. I have about 3/4 brick of the Argentine primers. So far the SA primers are working about 95% with just one revolver and one pistol FTFs (both have given light strikes in the past with Remington small pistol primers). Only tried about 100 in 9mm and 38 Special, mixed brass...

Nope, OP said "Norma has small pistol primers on sale again." Not "Norma has Norma small pistol primers on sale"

Just like when you went to a Buick dealership, and could buy a German Opel too.

Hmmm. I know I ain't the sharpest pencil in the box (only 4 years of college and 5 years apprenticeship), but I went to the link, for the third time, and see no primers, bullets, brass, etc. Would you be so kind as to point me to the "primers for sale"?
