Completed my set

Congratulations Rick. You now have an example of every 4" stainless steel J frame revolver that Smith & Wesson has ever produced! I've got the same set & can't decide which is my favorite. The 63 gets shot the most but I'm a big fan of anything 32 caliber. I liked the combat grips on the 631 so i put a set on the 63 also.

I finally got the 631, but my only other stainless J frame target is a Model 60-4 with 3" underlug barrel (and adj sights, of course! ;) ) They're on my "keep 'til I die list.

Thanks all! The 631 was a long time coming and I really paid a stupid high price for it, but you know, buy once-cry once. Regarding the 16-4's noted above. I have the 6" and just bought a 4" on Gunbroker, it should be here next week some time. Funny thing is, I originally bought both guns, 631 and 16-4 4", back in the 80's from Jack First Gun Shop in Lancaster Ca when I lived out there. But those went away in the late 90's. Been looking to add both back in to the stable for the last 10-15 years. Goal achieved.

I, too, love my kit guns. I have the three 4" stainless ones you posted. I have an extra long rifle cylinder for the 651 that rarely gets used. Most of the j-frames I use frequently have closed-back grips due my hand size. All fit in the same holster, of course, and at least one of the bunch gets carried three or four times a week on my wooded acreage. Which one gets carried on any give day depends on what game seasons are open and/or what creatures are challenging my property (like groundhogs digging in my pond dam that my 1/4 mile drivway crosses). I also have other j-frames considered kit guns: a 34-1, a pre 35, a 51, and a 60-15 (3-inch with adjustable sights). The blued ones were purchased decades ago and used for the same reasons my stainless ones do now, but now reside full time in my safe. Your set looks great and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do mine!
