I had some time to kill after lunch so I clicked on an Amazon movie since Netflix "had issues." Scrolled through "free to me" and found "The Guns of Eden." Quite possibly the worst 92 minutes of my life I can't get back. Thumbnail: Ex-copchik goes with 3 friends camping and witnesses "white extremist, Christian, guncrazy, inbred, domestic terrorist LE agency kill a drug ring. Think Rambo with estrogen. I figure a $10K budget, $5K for the catering truck, $4K for the gun rentals and $20 each for the "actors." If'n the city fire inspector showed up earlier I could have saved myself the pain. No Oscar buzz here unless somebody sparks up the bong. Joe

It couldn’t be any worse than Everything Everywhere All At Once. It would have made more sense if it was run backwards. Beyond belief that it won a best picture Oscar. The members of the Academy must all be crackheads. At least I did not pay to see it. My son rented it.

I watched the 1956 film "Helen of Troy" this evening. Featured nice scenery and decent action scenes. Other than that, it was boring.

OTOH, I watched "San Quentin" with Pat O'Brien and Humphrey Bogart. Also Ann Sheridan. 1937 film, which was pretty entertaining.

Be careful not to step in this pile.

That one is painful. The number of deaths (including Wayne's) that have been chalked up to that movie is crazy. I loved John Wayne growing up, and even now I'll hold up The Searchers as one of the best American films full stop, it just sucks that a crummy retelling of a very interesting story is what did him in,
