Jockstrap Holsters Are My Favorite Style

Here's a pair of Lawrence holsters ordered for 4" K frame target sighted revolvers, the belt was ordered with both .22 and .38 caliber cartridge loops. I sold this rig a couple of years ago.

John, that is a cool rig. I don't believe I have ever seen one made for 2 different calibers. The original owner definitely had a plan. Come to think of it, I guess whoever you sold it to did too.:)

Here's a little Myres that has been sitting on my drafting table for a couple years because I don't have any Colt revolvers.

Bruce, love, love, love the little holsters! I still remember the few things that got me interested in these holsters years ago. First was John's pictures and explanation of the name, Ranger vs. Jockstrap holster. Next was my buddy fat tom showing off some of his holsters. And lastly, was a member here (unfortunately can't recall who at the moment), showing us their fantastic Myres Jockstrap holster that fit a S&W 3.5" N frame. I fell in lust with that holster! Maybe it's owner will see this thread and post a picture for me.

I finally was able to remember who had the holster I loved so much. It was member "digi-shots". She was even kind enough to take complete measurements of her holster and send them to me. Here is a link to her album showing this wonderful holster.

boykinlp.......What model gun fits in the fancy one,...Very nice! really like the color..........................................M*

Please forgive my SLACKNESS! I said I would try again to find out what gun fits my fancy Myres Model 445 Floral Carved and Laced holster, and forgot all about it.:( To recap, when I got it, I was hoping that it would fit my Nickel 3.5" barreled Model 27-2, but it was too small. I didn't own any shorter barreled K frames at the time.

So today, I was feeling a little like Cinderella or Goldilocks! I dug out the holster and tried my 2" Pre-10 because I found it first. I knew right away that it was going to be too short, but thought it would tell me if a K frame would be correct. It did. I next got out my Minty S&W 19-3 Texas Ranger's Edition with a 4" barrel. I very, very carefully tried to put it in my holster and it was "just right". It is a PERFECT fit, and looks great!:) The only thing that would make it better is if Richard (Rkmesa) was to send me one of his superb ENGRAVED Texas Ranger 19-3's.:p Then it would look awesome!:D
