I prefer to carry the same firearm year-round. There might be occasions where I feel like stepping up the firepower, but that is becoming less often the older I get.
I find the VMII to be extremely secure and comfortable for all day wear/carry. In fact, I also have one for my Kimber Ultra Carry.
I don't have any experience with the magnetic snaps but haven't found the standard loop snaps to be of any issue.

The older I get the smaller the EDC becomes.
I always appreciate your input given your experience and service, Sir.
I will admit even at 34, I do not like carrying my 686, even when I can conceal it under a puffy coat it is a brick on the hip. I think I will probably carry my model 36 year-round just because it is easier to conceal and more comfortable to carry.
Also a fan of the Bianchi Pistol Pocket IWB holsters. As for warm weather cover garments over a tshirt how about a reflective vest? Shouldn't be difficult to find one with the name of a construction company, landscaper etc that is commonly seen around town. Lightweight adjustable to fit just about any size person and commonplace either in the country or city. If the weapon prints most folks would think it's a job tool on your belt.I carry a model 66 sometimes. Interesting that the K frame weighs almost exactly what Glock 23 (loaded) weighs.
I love this Bianchi.

Regardless of seasons... same gun...same pocket.
