Summer Carry?

I find the VMII to be extremely secure and comfortable for all day wear/carry. In fact, I also have one for my Kimber Ultra Carry.

I don't have any experience with the magnetic snaps but haven't found the standard loop snaps to be of any issue.

I am excited for mine to be done in fall, got two belts for it too! Great to know I chose well. The photos look even better than I hoped, looks secure and comfortable!

My maine street / in town carry is a Sig P365 - OWB in the winter in a high ride pancake, with a sweater or jacket as cover. IWB in the summer with a baggy T shirt, or one of those loose fitting fishing shirts as cover. Almost always, an LCP in my pocket, or somewhere else on me as well. Spare mag for the P365 in my left back pocket.

J-Frame in RF pocket, every day, every way, except bicycling! A LCR in right kidney water bottle pocket (yes it prints!) but then I'm gone before you can really think about it.

The older I get the smaller the EDC becomes.

I always appreciate your input given your experience and service, Sir.

I will admit even at 34, I do not like carrying my 686, even when I can conceal it under a puffy coat it is a brick on the hip. I think I will probably carry my model 36 year-round just because it is easier to conceal and more comfortable to carry.

Lot of old cops with bad backs carrying all that weight on their belts for 30+ years. Off duty or plain clothes most carried a S&W or Colt snub revolver like you.

I carry a model 66 sometimes. Interesting that the K frame weighs almost exactly what Glock 23 (loaded) weighs.

I love this Bianchi.

Also a fan of the Bianchi Pistol Pocket IWB holsters. As for warm weather cover garments over a tshirt how about a reflective vest? Shouldn't be difficult to find one with the name of a construction company, landscaper etc that is commonly seen around town. Lightweight adjustable to fit just about any size person and commonplace either in the country or city. If the weapon prints most folks would think it's a job tool on your belt.

....I have a Sneaky Pete ''holster''....so I wear it any way in any weather....it sticks out, but no one seems to notice
..but I also have shirts the cover the holster, where you can't see it and there is no bulge .....the shirts are not bulky at all...they are summer shirts

I carried a 2 1/2" 19-3 that I bought in 1976 for many years off duty and plain-clothed assignments. Still have it and it is a near perfect revolver. But, like you said a fully loaded 13+1 G23 is similar weight with over double the firepower of the revolver. That's what eventually replaced my 19-3 and has evolved now to 9 mm in the G19.

I have never cared much for mouse guns and never carry anything less than a J frame. I am fortunate to have J, K, L and N frame choices plus 1911's, BHP's and have had several plastic fantastics. Around the house and the property I often throw a J frame on or in the pocket. Currently that is a 649 that I just got. when out and about, I often want something with a bit more capacity with what is going on these days. Lately that has been a 365 X-Macro with a RDO carried AIWB. Every time I carry a J snub now, I think about multiple attackers, on drugs and the possibliity of misses. I mostly carry something with more capacity but I still love my revolvers.

Winter, spring, summer, fall. Bodyguard .380 in a Mica pocket holster.

I carried a J frame AIWB in a Lobo for a couple years but the leather gun belt caused nerve compression problems. I have no hips or *** so had to cinch it pretty tight. I can and sometimes do still carry it AIWB in a Lobo with a 1.25" canvas belt. And I can pocket carry it in certain jeans. But for the past year it's been the BG.

Still holding out hope for a Bodyguard Plus.
