3 inch in K-frame Round Butt…What’s the most Comfortable Carry Grips?

What the heck...posted before;
These carry just great on my 3"......
I like that holster, how do you like it. It seems to be just what I am looking for.

I've tried many different grip types over the 40+ years I've carried revolvers. The one I prefer most is the factory Magnagrip that came with it in combination with a Tyler T Grip. The combo gives you good purchase, will not stick to your clothing like Pachy's will, are slim and as concealable as you can get. The key is the T Grip.
If you are hunting, target shooting or woods walking and don't care about concealment, then the rubber Pachmeyer's or similar are the most comfortable to shoot repeatedly with heavy loads, but IMHO are terrible for CCW.
Hey, it's one screw - swapping them out takes seconds!

I like the factory round butt grips with the T-grip, but since my T-grip is the metal version, the surface is slick as can be. I know I could put strips of skateboard tape on it, but I'm not sure how that would work. If the folks that make the T-grip would offer the same aluminum colored version, but with a stippled or roughed up surface, I'd be right on that.
Right now I have the factory grips with the T-grip in my parts box and I'm using a set of rubber boot type grips that aren't made any longer. They came with it when I got it as it was a police trade-in. I'll take the grips off and see the name of them and update later.

Here are the grips I currently have on it. Mine are for my K-frame though, which look pretty much spot on to these.

As others have noted the Pachmayer Compact grips are hard to beat for concealed carry and comfort in shooting.
I prefer them over the Hogue grips or the full size Pachmayer grips. I also like the wood combat grip on my Model 13. It won't grab a shirt like a rubber grip can, but it also isn't absorbing any recoil if you are shooting full power .357 Mag loads.
Regardless of material comfort in shooting involves having a grip that fills in much of the area behind the trigger guard to keep it from rapping your finger under recoil.
Learn something new everyday. I did not know those pachs had an open back strap. I may give them a try with some magnum loads. I modified the stock grip on my 19 carry comp by taking out the finger grooves and addin some ebony to the bottom to just get my pinky on.w
It's just about perfect. I can wear it for a fifteen-hour day in the summer, working in the field here in Georgia. I find the height (read...barrel digging into hip when sitting) dang near heaven sent.
It's hard to find holsters for the 3" K frame. This Bianchi is inexpensive but a winner. Big time!

Altamont makes some grips that fit my hands very well, seen here on the Kimber and a Model 64. The Pachmayr's on the SP-101 are also comfortable, and conceal a bit better.
I never took "comfortable for carry" into consideration when selecting stocks or "grips". Carrying a gun is an uncomfortable proposition. Someone, maybe Clint Smith, once said, "Carrying a gun is not supposed to be comfortable. It is supposed to be comforting!" I choose stocks on how they affect my ability to use a gun competently.

The Pachmayr Compac has a closed, and the Pro the open back strap. I like the former a lot, not so long front to back that it affects trigger reach.

On this M65 3" RB, found these Thai grips to work out great. Did add some Tung oil to them as they didn't seem sealed all that well.
On my other K frame 3", an M&P SB, I use OE diamond Magnas with a BK grip adapter.
Nothing against Pachs, I just used them so long for work and for pure utilitarian purposes, that in my dotage, I just prefer wood.
