Vanishing Point was released my senior year of HS. I saw it three times at the cinema. It surely captivated the 17 year old me.

Kowalski taught me not to pick up hitchhikers.

I was a kid in Tucson when Petrocelli was in production for the two seasons. My sister had a huge crush on him. Fast forward a bunch of years and I became friends with a guy that was a close friend of Barry’s. My friend had done some acting when he was a little younger and they became friends.

I told my friend about my sister’s crush so he called Barry, told him the story and he asked to talk to me. We had a great chat and he sent an autographed photo to give to my sister. RIP.

Good movie. Super Soul added a great side story to the tale.

Watching the Jaguar XK-E get destroyed was almost as painful as seeing the Challenger get vaporized.

I'm gonna download and watch it again with Logan. I'm sure he will like it.

During my senior year of high school, Vanishing Point was being partially filmed in my little hometown. The scene where the car launches over a barricade in a deep canyon was just a few miles from home. As a public relations good will, the producer brought one of the stunt cars to high school and let us ogle it and sit in it at lunch time. There were more speeding tickets issued to us teenagers after that.

Didn’t realize there are that many movies similar named.
Can’t find it without a fee right now.
But - but - Speaking of Movies - kept getting ‘ Vengeance .’
This New Movie - just Vengeance- now streaming on YouTube.
A little weird, well done, didn’t see that ending coming!
Oh - almost forgot.
No vanishing Point II - But -
REMAKE ! Viggo 1997.
It’s on YouTube. Watching it right now.

I seem to remember him as the one armed man in the series about the killer in the show about Harrison Ford being blamed for murder. I can't remember the name of the series. Jeff

Are you thinking of “The Fugitive”? David Janssen was the actor in the tv show, Harrison Ford was in the film version.

I saw Vanishing Point at a drive-in triple feature in 1974 with a van load of teen and young adult guys. Never wanted a Challenger or Barracuda, although had several classmates that had them.
