I was helping clean out some old supplies at my LE agency a few years back before I retired.
Found some great old ammo in perfect condition from proper storage.
In 357 Magnum I found 2 new full boxes of Winchester in their old "Armor Piercing" ammunition.
There was also several boxes of Super Vel 357 in 148 flat nose jacketed lead bullets. 148 grain. There is exposed lead of lust over 1'8" in the front.
Shot some of them in a N Frame Smith.
That was the definition of LOUD AND BOOMER with plenty of flash!
Even in the daylight the fireball was impressive. Can't imagine using them as a duty round and having to shoot at night.
Shooter would lose night vision and perp would be scalded from extreme range in addition to projectile performance.
