Just picked this up. Need to get more pics but it is mint. I've been wanting the Dirty Harry gun and was looking for a 6 1/2 but could not pass this up! The bluing is perfect. I don't think it got shot. If so maybe a few times. What do you think it's worth. Didn't get it cheep or maybe I did. No box. IMG_0999.jpgIMG_1001.jpg

I encountered a 29-3 from 1987 in February, and just had to have it very urgently. I would not be able to put a numerical price tag on a nice blued 29. The important part of the story is that you have it. Enjoy!

Here in Commiefornia that gun would sell quickly if it was less than $1500 out the door.
If in a gun shop that had to charge tax plus the $47 DROS fee, it might have to wait for someone who wanted it badly. But even then it wouldn't be around for long.

I would have held out for the 6 1/2". JUST KIDDING. I('ve got a nickel 8 3/8" 29-2 from the mid 70s and I think it's great.

Lol. I figured I would grab it so if I did want to trade it for a 6 1/2" I could have something to start with. Didn't expect it to be this nice. The guy was the original owner and bought it 1 week after he watched the movie.

The 8 3/8" get no love. Best shooting .44 of the bunch. This 29-5 came in the same exact rug. Guy wanted to nix the deal unless I gave an extra $5 for it. Enjoy that gun. Joe

As a collector of 29-2 You should be around $1,200 mint condition no box or papers. Presentation case with tools and papers around $1600. The shorter the barrel add a bit more, nickel add more as well.

Prices are climbing fast.

I think you are pretty close to the current reality AC Man. Just bought a 4" nickel 29-2 for $1500 OTD. I posted it recently and I am happy with it.

Wow, that's nice. Hope you'll enjoy shooting it - or will it be a safe queen?

Hey Mikey, here is my 8 3/8th. I installed a Weilan rear sight on it which gives it a great non glare sight picture.
