They also have too much mischief in their heads. There is a gasbuddy website called vegasgasprices dot com. People can sign up and report the gas prices they have paid or observed on the marquees. Pretty handy with the way prices are going here in the West, straight up in full-burner.

Today, I found that some joker has been posting erroneous prices for a couple of filling stations not far from my house. The giveaway was a Chevron station with diesel priced lower than almost everywhere else in the valley. I drove down there as my BMW was down to 1/4 tank to discover the real price was $1.10 higher than reported. Whoever it is seems to travel past another station on the same street, because that one is wrong, too. It helps that the website shows the usernames of those who report.

After I got home from my errands, I discovered that this wastrel had refreshed their lies, as the update time said "1 hour". What possesses people to indulge in such nonsense? Is it a basically criminal mindset? Just leaves me shaking my head.

The website has rules of conduct which include posting erroneous gas prices. Maybe someone will report this clown.

The website you give is GasBuddy but for Vegas. I used to peruse the prices here in Colorado. I prefer quality over cost and in the long term that's where you'll save money. Just had an emissions test on my 17yr old F-150 and it still does a fast pass.

Gas Buddy can provide prices for anywhere in the U.S. All you need to do is click in the "current location" field at the top of the page and select/enter the city you want to see prices for.

I used to drive around Southern California and used Gas Buddy all the time. Was pretty good.
Now I just go to CostCo for gas and use their credit card - 4% discount on their gas. $6/gal here .24 discount.

Here in Reno, the Gas buddy prices are usually correct but in Carson City
gas might be 30 cents a gallon cheaper on some days.

I have to decide if it is worth the drive to save a few bucks, with my 22 gallon tank ? !

I generally wait until I am in the area for just a $6.00, savings.

Too bad there is not $250 fine to those that post bad info.

I've never looked online for gas prices. I buy close to home where it's convenient. I usually fill up at Kroger once or twice a month after buying groceries. Savings vary from about twenty to sixty cents a gallon.

When you live on the border of a High price state, (Illinois), you just automatically drive across the river and fill up at .60 cents less p/gal or take a leisurely drive about 25 miles and fill up nearly $1.00 p/gal less. Illinois has the nearly the highest tax of any state attached to the gas. and it is automatically increased annually according to the Cost of living % increase.

Very useful when traveling in MT. I just enter prices along I-90 or 15 and see where it is best to stop.

I cannot speak for the self-important fool that LVSteve describes.
