I was doing financial research and discovered I should have bought certain stocks back in October. Whilst digging around for investment opportunities, I checked S&W.

Lo and behold, Black Rock is close to owning 10% of S&W stock. This is not good. I don't wanna get slapped on rules violations, but this is an area of concern to us all.

Invest in Smith and Wesson stock? Oh no. Definitely not. That's the equivalent of investing in Sears and K-Mart. Where are they now?

You want to find a firearms company that is up and coming. A company that will listen to their customers, not treat them like they're dumb.

Better yet, Stick your money in the S&P 500 or BRKB.

I still like the old Smiths. I bought 6 Colts in the last 3 years, and their new revolvers blow the new and old Smiths out of the water. I bought a Garmin Xero yesterday. I was chronoing numerous combinations yesterday. If you don't believe what I'm about to say, I don't blame you, but the Garmin is like the camera. It doesn't lie. My 3 inch Python shot my hand loaded 357 158XTP and a full charge of H110 faster than my 6 inch 686.

If it wasn't for S&W making other people's guns, like Glock (Sigma) the 1911, the AR-10, and 15, now the Henry lever gun, Smith would be out of business already. With the exception of the M&P series, what has Smith done since the early 90's?

Wait, just so we are clear, is your suggestion that we invest in SWBI stock for the select purpose of wrestling control away from Blackrock?!

You are lucid dreaming. That's the unpossible. Blackrock could buy absolutely anything they wish and no damn body could even be a speedbump in their plan.

Some years ago I tested my Colt 3-5-7 6" aganst my S&W Model 14 6". I do not remember the details, but for a couple of .38 Special loads, the average MVs from the Colt were over 100 f/s greater than from the Model 14. I believe because the barrel-cylinder gap of the Colt is visually less than that of the M14. Can just barely can see that there is a gap in the Colt. That 3-5-7 is my favorite revolver. I don't need a Python.

Actually, it was more in the line of if there's something S&W makes that you want and are putting off buying, you might want to bust out the charge card before BR leverages it out of production.

They've filed a form that seems to indicate an intent to buy more S&W stock. Maybe get in now and see if it goes up.
