Super Bowl

I thought the game was interesting, the commercials weren't funny this year and that's what many people look forward to. I think they tried to be funny and you would think paying 7 million for a 30 second slot, the advertisers could have gotten some better writers. Scwartzenegger and DeVito was the only commercial that got slight grin.
Saw two in a row early that made me laugh, Kawasaki's party in the back and Popeye chicken "2 dogs in 1!".

Boring. Like a 1-0 pitching duel in baseball.

But with cheerleaders. Which TV is loathe to show. But they'll show Taylor.

Was it just me or did someone elst think that the kick off's were going
way farther and higer than NORMAL, in this game.
Hitting and going through the uprights, and past the end zone !! ??

Tom Brady was in charge of inflation pressures. He erred on the high side this time. :D

So who dumps him first, the Chiefs or Taylor?

My money is on Swift dumping him; then writing about him, the Chief's and her Superbowl ride.
She will make $$millions or 5.
Kelce will be left in the dust. I just hope the breakup doesn't impact his football career, the Chiefs will keep him so long as he produces and doesn't cost too much.

The Kelce affair

After looking at it a dozen times, and Reid’s post game response about it, meh.
Things happen in the heat of the biggest show on earth.

No one who ever played the game from Pop Warner to the pro’s ever wanted to leave the field, or not be in the thick of things.
YMMV

Other than that, love the rule change, always thought it was unfair and at the whim of a coin toss.FG kickers are closing in on 70 yards.

KC D was underrated but, no more, just ask Purdy now, if he caught his breath yet.
SF D was harassing Mahomes all game, kudo to them, they were great.

“Angered that Reid had taken him out of the game during the first half, Kelce pushed the 65-year-old so hard on the sideline that the Chiefs head coach momentarily lost his balance, while the tight end continued to shout in his face.

Kelce was eventually pulled away by teammate Jerick McKinnon.

“He keeps me young,” Reid laughed on CBS’ post-game show. “He tested that hip out. He caught me off balance – normally, I’d give him a little bit, but I didn’t have any feet under me.”

Reid later reiterated in his post-match press conference that he only stumbled because Kelce caught him off balance, adding that it just shows the tight end’s desire to win.

“The part I love is that he loves to play the game and he wants to help his team win,” Reid told reporters. “It’s not a selfish thing, that’s not what it is, and I understand that.

“So as much as he bumps into me, I get after him and we understand that.”

Kelce told ESPN after the game that he was going to keep what was said “between us” and joked that he was just telling Reid “how much I love him.”

“I got the greatest coach this game has ever seen,” Kelce told reporters after the game. “He’s unbelievable at not only dialing up plays and having everybody prepared, but he’s one of the best leaders of men I’ve ever seen in my life.

“He’s helped me a lot with that, with channeling that emotion, with channeling that passion and I owe my entire career to that guy and being able to kind of control how emotional I get.

“I just love him, man.”

I really couldn't care less about the Travis Kelce/Taylor Swift dating thing. Of course, the press and social media are making a big thing about it because the general populace thinks that it's really newsworthy, but give it another ten years and people will pretty much forget about it. Much like the Aaron Rogers/Olivia Munn relationship...or Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush...or Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez...or Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo. And the list goes on.

In another few years, people will be saying, "Who?"

Kelce and Reid will be hugging each other on the parade float.

I when I was younger I got dumped by better women and lived. Another woman will gladly take her spot and he will be just fine. I learned 2 rules only allow people to yell at your back as you walk away and if a woman wants to leave, help her pack.

I have developed a similar rule over the years. If a woman wants to move in hold the door open for her. If she wants to move out hold the door open for her.

Big winner, Mecole Hardiman, starting the season with the Jets

Big loser, for years, Tyreek Hill leaving KC

The volume of commercials ruined the flow of the game, imo.

And the gratuitous shots of Taylor. The NFL’s shameless attempt to capture swifties. A big distraction and turn off for me.

If you want to see someone’s true character, throw a little adversity at them. Hey travis, you don’t always get everything you want, and when that happens keep it together, and stop throwing your tantrums. That was on TV. Kids were watching. He should have gotten tossed out of the game.
Whatever Kelse is selling on a commercial, I’m not buying. A long time ago, I moved away from State Farm because I was tired of paying Aaron Rogers and Patric Mahomes. I need my money worse than they do.

I have forgotten the tattooed dudes name but he had nice voice and thought he did a great job with America the Beautiful. I was surprised and happy they had old Reba McEntire sing the National Anthem and I was expecting some weird rap from the Usher guy at half time but thought he put on a pretty talented and impressive show especially when everyone had on roller skates.

Post Malone was the singer of America the Beautiful. He is one of my wife's (and my son's) favorite artists. I'm not really a fan, but he is talented. He used to do mostly rap, but has shifted his focus more to a "countryfied" pop recently. I believe he is from Texas. EDIT: I see Rusty beat me to the punch.

I paid no attention to Usher's halftime show, but I kind of wish I had. My wife said it was really well done.
