SUPER BOWL!!

I'm not against rap and actually like some, but this was the worst halftime show I've ever witnessed. Didn't understand a word.

For the record I've never heard of this guy before today anyway.

I hear that Taylor Swift was going to be dropping by a stadium in New Orleans, and a football game might break out later.

Sounds like the opening music was rewritten by Jazz musicians.

There is only one National Anthem

This is what I was referring to in my statement. Never heard the National Anthem or America, the Beautiful sung to Jazz music. I understand it is New Orleans and they do thing a bit different there.............

I didn't watch the half time show. I took a shower instead. The game was mostly a yawner. I didn't have a dog in the hunt and really didn't care who won. The Philly defense was great. I was really surprised at the outcome. I thought the Chiefs would have played better than they did. This time next year I won't remember who played or won.

I don’t think that the halftime show particularly appealed to a wide segment of the audience.
I didn’t even understand the closed captions.

The one thing I really LIKED about the halftime show was the 1987 Buick Grand National that Kendrick Lamar stood on as he began his rap/hip-hop performance.

It's his car, and he can do whatever he wants with it, but it's kind of a pity the way he walked all over the hood to open his show. That's classic car abuse!

I never heard of him, and I didn't much care for his performance. But I DO at least like his taste in classic cars! Even if he doesn't have the proper respect for them.

As for the game...

It was a totally one-sided contest from the very start. Philly brought their A-game on both sides of the ball. KC didn't.

KC's rally during the second half of the fourth quarter was pretty exciting, but up until that point, their performance was decidedly unimpressive. Especially for the returning, two-time Superbowl champions.

It was a case of too little, too late for KC. Kinda disappointing.

But the food and the company at the Superbowl party was good. So what do I have to gripe about? :)

Well, at least a PA team won (again!). I got a phone call just before the half and didn't see the rest of the game. If it were a team from this side of the Commonwealth, I probably would've watched it. I even forgot the game was on until my brain kicked in. Even then, I turned it on around 18:35 and they were doing stuff in the middle of the field still. I have Pittsburgh's SIX Superbowl wins on discs. SIX! 6 outta 8 trips ain't bad. Anybody else have SIX? Oh, yeah, Boston. Pffft. Damn, I hate how near-perfect Brady is!!
I saw half a game which was enough. No Black & Gold? It's not a superbowl. I'm glad there's no jealousy in my blood!!!

I found it refreshing that I saw Taylor Lipstick just once. Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn enough to "hate" Taylor Lipstick, but I am sick and tired of the camera going to her every time the Chiefs had a big play. "But she's the girlfriend of Chief's player Travis Kelce" they say. Yeah, well how about the other Chiefs' family members in the stands? They deserve some recognition too.

I have a feeling most of the fans who booed her were not even aware or thinking of her plug for Kamala, but booed her because they too were sick of seeing Ms. Lipstick ten times a game.

It really sucks that THE most important game of the year, for football, has turned into some ghetto-worshiping disgrace for some kind of “look at me” media blitz. It’s like the weirdos that try to corner politicians or the people who even attempt that. They’re all stupid people. People complain, or better yet are jealous of these human monsters fighting each other, just make me laugh. I’m jealous myself! One good NFL year can set a person up financially for a long time. To heck with work, let’s go play some ball for three hours! Any reason to get friends or family together for stupid conversation about egg prices seems cool!
