This particular revolver is built on a J frame, .32 S&W Long. It is the nickel version, with S&W white plastic grips. Mfg between 1970-1976 when S&W ceased production of this model.
I am new to the forum, but not to S&W guns. My first was a .38 Chief's special. I've had model 19s, 4 and 2 1/2 inch. I carried a .41 magnum for years.

Welcome to the forum from the Mojave Desert. I recently picked up a 3" 30-1. Found some Tulipwood Hogues and a Simply Rugged holster for her. She's ready for service.

Welcome to the forum. I've got your guns grandfather. It's an "I" frame (slightly smaller than a J), from the early 1920's. It's been refinished, and the grips are from a later time period, but it shoots 32 wadcutters just fine.
