American Reloading had 6,000 Fiocci spp for $369 last week. Price included shipping and hazmat. I bit and they seem to be good stuff. I have shot them before with no problems. As a Montanan I was whining about having to pay someone $12 in sales tax.

I've sed the Fiocchis for years...Good Primers! They made the Alcan primers and supposedly the S&W primers. BTW MG...do they have made in the USA on the boxes??

No Skeet, these are flying the green, white and red and say made in Italy.

i was just wondering...they have been in the process of supposedly making primers here in the US. I know they had some problems with land purchase I think!

Does anyone know anything factual about when the new Fiocchi primer plant in Little Rock will begin production? Initially that plant was supposed to have been in operation by early 2025, but I have seen no recent information. I remember Fiocchi made a very serious blunder about selecting and buying the piece of property on which the plant was to have been constructed, but that may have been overcome by now. Or maybe not.

No indications seen that the "Expansion Industries" primer factory in Texarkana was anything other than a scam operation to swindle investors.

You must have missed that Norma had small pistol primers for 49.99 for 1000 in February with free shipping with a order of 3000.

I think I did see that, but it was shortly after I bought 1,000 Argentine primers from Powder Valley with free hazmat at $55.99/1,000. The $69.99 wasn't the best deal on price alone, but they are my favorite Winchester Primers.

Being an optimist, I'd like to think that the much better availability we are seeing vs. one to two years ago is a sign of a slow thaw.

I finally broke down and bought a brick of Winchester SPP at the Reno, Nv. gunshow last week. $64.95, but $70 something with sales tax. That was the hard part, no sales tax in Or. Last ones I bot were $40 cheaper before pandemic.

Seems like Powder Valley is testing the waters. Since I posted this three weeks ago they've offered WSPs again for just a bit more, I think it was $73.99. Now today they have CCI for $79.99. But at least we can get them and they seem to be going "on sale" pretty frequently.

I still hope we're heading to $50-$55. That would be back to "normal" considering the inflation we've had. I could have waited longer but I was down to about three thousand WSPs which makes me feel like I'm out.

I can make projectiles, and have plenty of brass, but...

I don't really want to attempt to create smokeless powder and just can't manufacture primers, so...

I'll just buy 'em if/when I feel I might need 'em, especially when they appear to be a good deal, for whatever reason: on $ale, FREE $HIPPING, no HAZ MAT, etc... (Two out of Three is even better! Three out of Three is the be$t!)

Almost ANY excuse will do: I just don't want to wake up one morning wishing I had instead of choosing if I want to load 'em up!;)

Cheers!

Primers at the local big box stores had primers as low as 60 dollars but they seem to have gotten back up to 75 and above in the last 3 months...no real sales. Only ones I haven't gotten many of under 75 dollars except once is LRPs

Thanks for the heads up. $69 is the cheapest I've seen 'em since they were >$30 in 2021. I've been buying my primers from LGS' who buy them cheap from folks getting out of reloading. Paying $5 to $6 per 100. Not seeing LRP or LRPM, mostly SPP; during covid it was the opposite.
