. . . but (at this posting) they're available. Natchez has a Memorial day promotion with $5 shipping and is listing Federal SPP's for what amounts to just over $84/thousand by the time hazmat, tax and reduced shipping were added in.
Unobtanium in my neck of the woods locally, that equates to the (empty) shelf price before taxes the last time I was in an Academy Sports, so . . . .

Scrounging for any the past few years has been . . . "challenging" to say the least, but as previously stated Federals have been unobtanium except for the few times I saw stock advertised at absolutely exorbitant rates. Given current conditions, political climate and world conflicts . . . well, they may get a little cheaper in the future but I doubt I'll live to see it.

EDIT -

BTW, they list CCI's, as well, for the same if that's your preference

Was in a well-stocked Tennessee gun store yesterday, admiring their extensive inventory. While enjoying the great selection of reloading components, I spotted RL15. I looked at the price and about soiled my pants. It’s been years since I’ve seen RL15 on a shelf at any price, but definitely wasn’t expecting $70. I like it for 358 Win and 375 H&H, but I don’t like it that much. Plenty of good cheaper (relatively speaking) alternatives. My buddy grabbed a pound of Unique for $55.

Primers were $99 to $116/1000.

Thanks for the heads up.
Picked up some CCI for my 9 mm's.
Don't usually buy ammo or reloading components on line but there is none available locally.
Was surprised at how much the Hazmat fees were.
Ouch.
At least I was able to find some powder local at a decent price.

Good catch on the Unique.
Haven't seen that on the shelves here in a looong time.
Was able to get some Win231 for 48 a pound recently.
Most powders here are going for 50-75 $ a lb..

Outrageous prices ! The increase since Covid is astronomical. You can buy a lot cheaper(some cheaper?) online in larger quantities when you find it.

Went to Cabela's (Columbus) yesterday to observe my brother try and sell his Trap gun. Walked over to the powder and primer section. ALL Brands of primers were $99.99 or more per thousand. Some were as high as $129/M.

There isn't a powder I need, so I didn't think to look at those prices.

It was 2:00 in the afternoon on a Wednesday, and there were very few customers.

I noticed the coolers (ice chests), they had hundreds of Yeti and their brand of the same all at very very high prices and there were 6 old stock Igloo 120-quart fishing coolers by the exit with no pricing on them. Not an affordable family camping cooler like an Igloo of Coleman in the store. If they carry entry level camping gear anymore, this would be the time to sell it!

If you have one near you, Cabelas/Bass Pro has quite a few Hodgdon powders (and a few Accurate) in stock online. You can order online and ship-to-store for free and no Hazmat. I got 2# of HP-38 and 2# of CFE Pistol (that one is going to be new to me) and they were $45-$46 which is right at Hodgdon's direct pricing. Plus the sales tax off course.

Not the deal of the century, but these days MSRP is about the best you're going to get. Primers are starting to come down from triple old pricing to double the old pricing. Applying the last few years inflation to the old prices we should get to 1,000 primers for $50-something.

Subscribe to everybody's newsletters. They throw out free shipping or free Hazmat every once in a while. I got some Winchester SP at the same net cost as the Natchez prices above.

Thanks for the post mtgianni. I ordered them and got shipping notification. I bought some small rifle Fiocchis in the past and they worked fine. Still have a few. For some reason they did not charge sales tax on mine They still show them in stock...$58.33 per thousand shipped+tax

It still looks as if my prediction of 50-65 dollars a 1000 is gonna be the area they'll settle at. Although I was hopping for less. I'm still concerned about large sizes

When Unique came back on the shelf at a LGS a couple years ago, I got a bottle of it for forty some bucks. I found that rich but I guess now that was a steal.

Finally got the primers I ordered today. Once they hit the street it took 4 business days. I am set on small rifle and pistol. Like to get about 3 or 4 thousand more LPPs
