Hot here again today, man is it hot!

We've been pretty hot here in Amarillo this summer. Quite a few days over 100 degrees. We've set several records at 106 and 107 degrees. I know some of you members are experiencing hotter temperatures, but this is plenty hot. Air conditioners running overtime.

We are supposedly headed for 99 today. Right now it's 95 and we are at the lowest humidity for the day at 35%. By tonight it will be 75%.

I was going to go to the range today but my cousin who lives about 3 miles from the range said it was 99 degrees out so I figured with my medical issues it was probably better that I stayed inside.

it cooled down here today after the storm came thru last evening.. effectively a category 2 hurricane in Nebraska... another round of high winds (90mph) and tornadoes... we lost power so NO A/C... no breeze... high humidity and 90 degrees... down from 100 degrees... 220,000 customers without electricity... may take over a week before that gets fixed... running a generator to save the food...

high 80's is a heat wave up here, sometimes into the low 90's. We are currently in a heat wave, supposedly cooling down next week. While not nearly as hot as other places, am not used to it. Like some others, am not outside in sun or exerting myself. The dog gets walked around 5 am.

We hit 100 here in Central Virginia today. I generally don't mind the heat but it's been too hot to do much of anything outside.

Only made 109°F today. This July in Vegas only one day hit average temperature. All the others were above average, often WAY above average. The overall average temperature for the month taking the highs and lows was 99.9°F. Five days on the bounce the temperature never fell below 90°F.

Really hot today in Mississippi - maybe the hottest day I have noticed yet this summer - but it is supposed to be hot in Mississippi in August.
