Right! The stocks number to the gun. It needed a fair bit of TLC when I got it, but it sure cleaned up nicely. It is a 336 ADL in .35 Remington.

Look great and hold onto those beauties! Cost of figured walnut and even plain looking wood has skyrocketed I heard. I used to take those nice looking stocks for granted back in the 70s or even 80s. Seem like a luxury lately.

I love wood also, some very nice examples in this post. I have too many examples to show so I picked my 2 favorite. A 50th anniversary Remington model 870 and a 1940's Winchester 75 Sporter. Sometimes you just luck out and find some nice figure in a particular gun. Wish they would do 1 in 1000 guns like Winchester and Marlin used to do in late 1800's early 1900's.
