Felt the need ot get a box of quiet .22 ammo. See https://smith-wessonforum.com/lounge/727576-racoons-got-my-pet-duck.html#post142061373 Went to the local gun emporium and whilst I was there decided to go ahead and get my deer tags and buy my Federal Duck stamp. First, the stamp costs $29.79. Second, it will not be mailed to me until March 2025. Wait! What? Yep-anyone getting a federal duck stamp will have to carry around their receipt to prove they bought one-one more thing to misplace. This is made possible through the streamline the government act. Worst part about this is that It's too early to start drinkin' ;)

Your liver can't tell time.

<cough> Well, actually it does. Circadian clock:

"Like many other organs in the body, the liver has an internal timing system, the circadian clock, which adjusts physiological processes to their relevant time of day. The liver uses this system to anticipate recurring systemic and environmental changes and function in a proactive manner."

Just a moment....

In other words:

It knows when you've been drinking
It knows when you're awake
It knows when you've been bad or good
So give it milk thistle for… well, it's that or don't drink so much

When i used to hunt geese, Ohio's stamp would get to me around the following June. It seems Ohio has taught the feds how to postpone responsibilities. The upside is you won't have to sign it and it will have better collectability. I have a nicely framed collage of stamps and licenses hanging in the Man Cave. :)

Caj-

Got my duck stamp yesterday.

Walked into the post office and asked if they had the Federal Duck Stamp.

Guy opened a folder and asked how many I wanted.

Maybe this is a Louisiana thing. But I am not kidding-I paid for a stamp and got a receipt that said the stamps would be mailed in March of 2025. Was told by the guy that the Post Office wasn't selling them any more.
Federal Duck Stamps | Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries I like the part where right after they tell you you will get the stamp in March 2025, they tell you that your proof of purchase expires 45 days after you buy the stamp. You just can't make this stuff up.

We can get them thru our DNR as well, and like Louisianna, they will send them out.

I do know that some of our smaller post offices here don't always carry them or they get like 4.

Every time I have been to a larger post office they always have them.

The police departments in this state have 120 days to process your CCW application and background check. I've known people get DoD clearances in less time.

Not a Louisiana thing. Went to get my HIP stamp, duck stamp and deer tags last Friday. Same deal here in KS. The helpful gal at the KDWP office said I could get the physical stamp at the post office. KDWP has an app on your phone that will show all your active licenses. Don't need to carry the receipt provided I carry my phone.
