Delivered to my front door yesterday. 28 no dash, 4-screw. All numbers match, including stocks. I would be surprised if a box of ammo has gone down the barrel since new. Serial # S193840, shipped from the factory in November of 1959, according to Roy. Have been looking for a nice Highway Patrolman for quite some time. No box, docs or tools, just the gun. That's OK with me since I don't shoot boxes, docs or tools...just the gun. :)

I have one pretty much identical to yours but it is a 5 screw shipped 3-1956. # S127112. Very doubtful it was ever used. 4" bbl. 99.9%. It s a pre M28. Big Larry

My 4-in is a favorite at the range.
I could not agree more, Larry.

The first centerfire revolver I bought when I got back to the World after my second year in SE Asia was a 4" Highway Patrolman. I've owned several of them since. Those are my favorite revolvers to shoot of the several dozen that live in my safe. The 6" HP units tend to sit in the safe collecting dust. :)
