While tribute bands have been mentioned I have to give a shout out to my brother-in-law who is the keyboard player for The Parrots of the Caribbean, the hottest Jimmy Buffet tribute band this side of the Mississippi. They have been on the road all summer and are still touring. There are a lot of Parrot heads out there, hungry for Jimmy's music. Check them out if they come to a town near you. Kenny used to have a Blues Brothers band, but the guy that did Jake pasted away recently and that was the end of that.
I remember seeing his band from the 70's, Flyweil, around Dayton and they did a reunion tour in 2011. People came from all over the country to hear them. Kenny writes all the chart for all his bands and is known as The Professor.

I like Jethro Tull (saw them in concert many moons ago). My music listening is quite diverse. I listen to Big Band, Swing, Sinatra, Orchestra, all the popular bands from the 60's and 70's, some classical music and I listen to music almost all day long! When I am detailing my cars, cleaning my guns, working around the shop and yard, my iPhone is always on Pandora. I have selected about 30 or so stations and I put the play mode on shuffle, so I never know what the next song will be.
The music I can't listen to is Rap, the modern stuff like Taylor Swift, or Heavy Metal like Metalica. Not my cup of tea!

AHHH!.... Tribute bands or as commonly know to do "cover songs". I love 'em and search them out regularly.
One of my favs... Huge groups of folks getting together and having fun.
Try to keep an open mind...

Have XM on “ The Bridge” and also listen to many styles of music. 15+ years ago we took our grandkids to Beach Boys concert in Silver Springs park. Told them to always remember seeing them in person. Just think when you are in your 80s sitting around talking you can say,” well, saw the Beach Boys” in concert.

Just how am I supposed to act my age since I have never been this old before?
Just saw Beth Hart a week ago, over the next couple months I have tickets for Ally Venable, Sophia Rankin and the Sound, a local band. Then It's ZZ Top, a week or so after that it's Godsmack, then I'm on to Seether/Skillet, and finishing up with Southern Culture on the Skids. I'm sure I'll add to the list as shows get announced!
As far as Tull goes, I've seen them many times, these days Ian's voice is pretty much shot. If you get a chance to see Martin Barre's band it's worth the time, he was a big part of the Tull sound and these days I would rather see his solo band then what Ian is calling Tull. As far as I'm concerned if Martin isn't there it aint Tull!

I'll listen to just about anything .. but what really gets me going is funk like Tower of Power, and Maynard Ferguson (Stay loose with Bruce). Just can't get enough of the big brass wall of sound.

Just saw the "Epic Eagles" tribute band from Ontario Canada at the Oklahoma City State fair last night. Wow, they really put on a great show and sounded just like the real thing! My buddy said they were a perfect 10, I would say many songs sounded just like their old albums and some other songs sounded exactly like you would expect The Eagles if they were a little older. Everyone there we talked to thought it was excellent and the weather was nice and moderately cool which made for a great outdoor concert.
