I've only got two long guns so I guess they're my favorites in their class.

Favorite big game (deer) and other critters.

Sears-Roebuck 12 Ga 3", Pump gun. I've never hunted deer with anything but buckshot. I've used it for doves and from time to time for squirrels too.

Favorite rifle. Wally-World Ruger 10/22. A squirrel killer back when I used to hunt squirrels.

Favorite hadgun. 2020 Colt Python in blue. I love to shoot that thing, especially with 38 wadcutters.

Favorite carry gun...changes but for now it's a Smith and Wesson Bodyguard 2.0.

Best gun story wins... My late father's Ruger standard 22... Ordered new by my father.. it showed up early before his birthday, so grandma bought it (early 1950).. a Red Eagle with a 4 digit serial number... his first pistol and he shot it for years, It disappeared (swiped) and was pretty much forgotten about over the decades... He got a call from friend that he shot IPSC with, that happened to manage the evidence room at the local PD.. "hey are you the owner?" "yes, a LONG time ago", "well, they pulled it off of a kid that was trying to hide it from his grandmother that he lived with, and she turned him and the gun in. Do you want it back?"... "yes please"... it apparently was used by the kid as a "flash gun" because it didn't work... so dad showed me how to take it apart and more importantly put it back together... it was my toy for a short while, then dad talked to Ruger about getting it back to a shooter.. they said they don't do that kind of thing, but send it in and they would see what they can recommend or do.. so he did they telegraphed an estimate and he wired the money, 40 something bucks.. they sent back a fully restored pistol, with one exception.. they would not replace the red eagle missing from the grip, disappointed at first, but later realized that means the factory wouldn't fake any.. to their credit.
I am now the care taker, my son will be eventually too... so best story, not best gun wins.

I have a couple of questions about your list.

Oh, by the way, you left a zero off your sharps.45/7

You said your favorite lever was an 1886 45/70. I have an 1886 45/70. Mine is a carbine. Which is yours - carbine or rifle? The other question is about your 1917. You say it's a 1917 BC 45 ACP. What's BC?

I have the same issue. All of my firearms are my favorite in some category, hence why I bought them. If pressed, I would say my 686-3, if only because I think it is the coolest gun in my collection. Since the whole point of this meeting seems to be about show and tell, I would bring the one that you think is the coolest.

My Browning is the 26" Octigon rifle. since we don't do 7 caliber, it must be a 45/70.

BC is for Brazilian contract.

You gotta be kidding! That's like asking a parent, "Who's your favorite child?".:D

That's easy, I have four kids and nine grandkids. They are all my favorites, just in different ways. (One way to look at is My kids are my favorites, anyone else's, not so much!)

AS to the guns, The reason I went with 20 categories, I can't type long enough to list every gun! Of course, I left out another big stack of categories and many guns fit multiple categories.

Of all the guns I own, my single favorite would have to be my Winchester Model 12 Trap. I purchased the gun new in 1973. A year later, I took it to a well known stock maker and had a custom stock fitted and made. It has had many thousands of rounds through it over the years and still is as tight as the day I bought it. Still looks practically new also.
