Appears to be a standard early model 4506 (as indicated by the squared trigger guard) with the less desirable adjustable rear sight.

Any collector value, however small, was destroyed by Bubba’s addition of the gawdy gold appointments.

Very sad.

You ought to think about taking it to a gunsmith . First , go out and by replacements parts for those that are gold plated . Have your gunsmith replace the gold parts with the new parts . While he's in there , have him do an inspection . Now , take those gold plated parts and put them on eBay . You know there's a bubba out there that will drool over those parts . Then take your new to you 4506 to the range and enjoy it .

The previous owner of that thing is probably rolling around the hood in his 1984 Buick on 26 inch wheels wearing a leopard fur fedora.

…..and what Cherry said.

What did they tell you when you bought it, and what did you do to research it before you paid? [emoji15][emoji108]🥹

If You Like It......

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

It didn't come from the factory that way.

Adjustable sight models generally aren't as sought after as fixed sight models.

I actually think is kinda cool.

Reminds me of a Browning shotgun with gold trim.

I kinda like it. I might change out those round butt grips for the square type as I think the 4506 looks better that way. If it shoots nice and functions well , just shoot it. Finding a new extractor for it may be challenging.

Nice 4506. Adj sights are great for a shooter. Trijicon makes, just like revolvers,. night sights for them. The gold, hey, you bought it that way, not a deal breaker for me, as long as everything works. It may be good for some fun at the local gun club. Not like it ruins any value or collectability. If someone doesn't like it, its easily changed.

But I would say, I probably would never carry it as a defense gun, just could lend to some the idea that you might "want to be" a bit gangsta. There are all kinds of guns with gold accruements. I have a High Standard, a Browning and some others I think.

Try the straightback grips 20-25 usually, feels better to most people.
