28-2 missing model number

From the research I've done my 1964 HP should be marked 28-2 but there is no such marking next to the serial number (S246xxx). Am I missing something?

If the extractor rod has left hand threads and there is no cylinder stop plunger retaining screw, then it is a Model 28-2. Someone just failed to mark the yoke cut. It happens.

It doesn't have one; it is a three screw. The 4th screw went away around 1961.

The spring rests against the inside of the frame.

4th screw (trigger guard) disappeared around 1960 I think, the 5th screw (top of side plate) in 1956. The SN alone determines it was made around 1964.

Another mis/un-marked S&W. No premium attached in my mind, unless you collect mis-marked guns.

Is the other side relieved (football cutout) or unrelieved?

If you were to put a coat of wax on them I think you'd be amazed how they'd pop
