I am thinking of parting with a set of smooth N frame COKE shaped grips. There is NO relief cut on the left panel. At this time i'm just curious as to the potential value. Pictures posted on request./Users/taumkhat/Desktop/Cokes?.eml

If they are perfect 250 would be easy money to get. What color washers?
Pictures should have been posted to begin with, when asking value.

Is this possible? Cokes were introduced with the .44 Magnum ca 1956 - which is beyond the time of non-relieved stocks.

Maybe just a set of smooth non-relieved target stocks?

Adios,

I have several sets of non relieved goncalo alves Presentation stocks that match the bottom of "cokes" in shape and size, but don't seem to have the swell. Another set, that came on my 1955 Target in .45 Colt. was special ordered with Rosewood smooth Presentation.non relieved stocks. If the plain Presentation GA stocks I have, are not "cokes", then I have not seen a real set in many years of collecting.

Richard, please post some good pics of your grips. I think Keith Brown said the palm swell is due to the confluence of the checkering pattern. That would not apply to grips that are not checkered.

Just saw this in Jim King article. Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, 5th Edition.

if someone would help me learn how to upload photos from my iPhone to my desk top on this forum, I would be much obliged. Thank you

With the IPhone connected to your computer, let MS File Explorer find your phone, then the file containing the photos...Drag the photos to the desktop and proceed from there...;)...Ben

LOL! I don't know how to post pics either, but your explanation is assuming we are already educated on computers. You are talking Japanese.

Email them to yourself and then download- quickest easiest way if you are not familiar.

He only said they were Coke shaped
They are simply Presentations, is what I took from that.

Like these except smooth, like the second set?

Can't remember what I paid for them but it was several years ago, here on the Forum, and at least $250 for each set. I'd be surprised to find them for that price now.

Jeff:

That is a beautiful set!!! If you ever want to part with them, please let me know. :) For a set like that, I think the value is between $250 and $450... I'm a buyer in that range.
