I just recently bought 20 rounds of Remington brass cased Buckshot loads. I assume it is military...or made for prison use. How was military brass shotshell ammo boxed...packaged. I've never seen boxes of brass shotshells...other than the commemorative remingyon brass loads

Thanks for the link. The fellow I got these from said the boxes were trashed but looked to have held 10 rounds. He also has some Alcan brass shells...but I already had a few of them. Back a fairly long time ago I had a fellow that worked at Aberdeen Proving ground who gave me a few Aliminum 410s..;but I shot them up...hey the price was right... free...and they worked...and I have seen Federal shotshell boxes marked US property

Back quite a few years I got a whole case...wooden box printed in English...and the individual boxes or 7.62 X 39 were all in chinese I guess..Can't read or speak Chinese...SKS's and the ammo were really cheap...So were AKs

Many years ago I was given a case of Western 12ga military shotgun ammo. Each 25rd box was marked US PROPERTY and was individually sealed in a foil paper. I gave a few boxes away to friends and sold the rest, never shot any of it.

One of the members of my skeet club...a pre war all American shooter taught aerial gunnery during the war. said he shot tons of the shotshells. He also told me that they made shotshell tracer ammo. had a few boxes of WWII ammo left after I started shooting in 61...It was Rem 3 1 1/8 8s marked as US property. Later in the war he was in the Pacific theater driving landing craft. He said after the end of the war he saw the combat engineers burying huge amounts if ammo on the islands rather than bring it back to the uS...He shot Rem 11s and 11-48s until the Remington 1100 was developed. I fot him his 1100 28 and410 when they came out.

Slugs

I have several 12 ga slugs from the Navaho Army Depot here in Flagstaff, that were loaded here. These are only the lead slugs. not loaded rounds, and I don't know for what use or war. Found them in between studs in walls.
