This 640 had a great feeling action, but seemed just too heavy for a snub nose carry revolver:



I also had a 60-4 barrel, which was no longer being used. If the gun's gonna be hefty, might as well make that weight mean something. So:

There's probably not another like it.

Nice job. Years ago I had K frame round butt 357 that cracked barrel at the forcing cone. Found a 6" barrel at a gun show for $15 and put it on. With the custom grips I had made guys at the range would always ask what model it was.
 
That was really smart to shave off the front sight ramp. I'll bet that helped a lot with elevation.
 
Awesome! If they factory made one of those I'd buy it. I love 3" barrels on J-frames, and I'm a huge fan of gutter rear sights and dot front sights, unlike the current 60 Pro with the 3" barrel. Not to mention you shaved off the ugly full-length underlug. If I had your skills, that is exactly how I'd make a J-frame. Outstanding work!
