IMG_4679.jpegI grabbed this 18-2 from 1965 time frame of all places at Cabelas for a song. Came with ugly and dry rot pachmayr.
Put a set of Herrett Jordan Troopers short term until I could find some diamond magmas. Thanks to a great interaction with Gunsquirrel she is now back to looking factory.

While I appreciate Herrett's and Jay Scott and can't afford Fuzzy at least I can play the game of getting back to a factory look.

Such a great looking Smith! A classic.

I bought a set of K frame stags a month or so ago. I don't really have a gun to put them on. Although I'm in the process of selling some guns, I'd jump a "cheap" 18 just to put my stags on.

By coincidence, I picked this up tonight, an 18-2 that came with genuine elk antler grips that the shop thought were imitation stags. I paid $1300 between this one and the 18-3 behind it that I bought earlier this year, both from the same online shop, so keep your eyes peeled and your Google skills sharp. They are still out there.
