I would not say anything. Ours is a constitutional carry state, open carry allowed. Most people are not very observant, and many have their face buried in their smart phone.
Regarding common usage of a word... that was merely a statement; I've noticed the word's usage increased considerably with concealed carry. Again, a statement. As for hobby/fad/duty... depending on the comments of many, many different people, concealed carry can be one or more of the three. "Method of self defense" would certainly be in the "duty" category, but "hobby" and "fad" often intermingle but can be isolated.“The concealed carry hobby/fad/duty”… not sure why a method of self defense would be called a hobby/fad/duty. Are seatbelts and fire extinguishers hobby/fad/duties as well?
You can see something showing a print or outline through fabric so printing would be actively having a discernible outline of something. Example: “My erection was printing through my pants at the sperm bank, everyone could clearly see I was excited to donate.”
Not attempting to be argumentative but curious as to why pretty common usage of a word would bother someone.
Okay, you're talking about simply being observant. No conditions or extra words needed to complicate things.Jeff Cooper had five levels of situational awareness. Condition yellow would be being aware of your surroundings.
If they were only printing? No. If their pistol was fully exposed and it appears they are unaware? Depends on the situation.I frequently read posts in which people say nobody notices them printing. I really wonder does nobody notice or is nobody saying anything?
So here's the situation, you're walking through Walmart. You notice somebody Who You Don't Know printing or the butt of their gun is visible in their pocket.
Would you mention it or mind your own business.
I live in N. Idaho. We have Constitutional carry here so everyone does. I'm retired LE and I don't personally think open carry is a great idea but like the fact we have that option. I see open carry all the time in the grocery store and have seen it in Walmart. It's no big deal if you get out of your truck and don't put on your jacket when you pump gas, or you see someone "printing" in the local café. We/I just assume everyone is packing heat here. Folks here are very polite and tend to look after each other. This still free America and I love it. ( But we are full so don't move hereI frequently read posts in which people say nobody notices them printing. I really wonder does nobody notice or is nobody saying anything?

There's a difference between deliberate open carry and inadvertently exposing your firearm. You get that right?I live in N. Idaho. We have Constitutional carry here so everyone does. If I were in a State where it is known to be illegal to open carry, and I saw a guy with an obvious open carry I’d think One.. he’s extremely careless, Two, he’s really stupid, or Three he’s deliberately pushing his luck. There are other reasons and being a nice person to let the guy know he’s “exposing” himself is OK.So, we're on the third page, and most respondents are saying they would mind their own business.
I would certainly mind my own business unless, as I've said multiple times through the years, I was in some place like Boulder or Denver, where I knew that if the person got caught they would be in trouble.
So I don't think you can safely say that just because nobody's ever commented on your gun printing, it doesn't mean that nobody's ever noticed it.
