The Federal affidavit on this coward is out....he had Beretta 9mm pistols and some AKs in his fake police car. He also had lists of people he apparently intended to kill, "...mostly or all Democrats." (Affidavit, page 2, last line).

According to the Death Penalty Information Center, the death penalty in Minnesota has been abolished since as early as 1911. Which is OK as this creep can rot and die in prison.

I'm sorry, I will never understand how a person can become so damaged. At times I think it is partly due to this age of constant media information overload. That, and people have enough idle time to dwell on it. There are a whole lot of other contributors but I'll just leave it at that.

He's in his late 50's. Even if he gets the death penalty he'll die in prison before it happens. At least he knows what his retirement is going to be. It won't surprise me if they determine he is too insane to prosecute.

wproct, I CAN understand why and a lot of it goes into the current climate (not the Greta kind). We are not the only nation going through this.
It all comes down to one specific word: HATE. Everything else is just an excuse.
People don't need a reason to hate...they just do. In a time where bullying is the accepted norm (often encouraged) and amoral attitudes prevelent it brings it out of the shadows. Have you just sat back and watched television these days? Or social media. Take "The VIew" (just using as an example). I watched it and all I heard was hate masquerading as something else. How popular is this show right now and others like it?
As for this individual, I have NO doubt that he had some sort of "manifesto" somewhere outlying his thoughts and motivations. If this turns up, like the Unibomber, lots of questions will be answered and probably even more unanswered. I do NOT believe he was a mental case and that there is more to the story. Time will tell.
I believe that when elected officials "behave badly" they should be removed from office by the ballot, recall, or impeachment and not by the bullet. Sadly there are a whole lot of people out here who believe otherwise or that we have gone past that point. That is what scares me.

He's a rank amateur, only thing he did right was his face mask. Finding a "death list" in his car, other evidence. A little suspicious IMHO.
