Dunno why that struck me, but it immediately popped in my head. Israel getting upset about one hospital getting hit after they've hit all 36 of Gaza's hospitals with missiles and precision bombs, leaving only 17 even partially functioning, seems pretty whiny. Pretty much like the Japanese govt indignation about beheading of a couple of noncombatants.

I wonder if Americans can even remember the "Sneak" attack by Israel on the USS Liberty in a attempt to get America into THEIR WAR? Perhaps those veterans, the many killed and wounded are now getting their revenge and justice. Fox news is now the anchor of Neocon war hawks just like Iraq. Will they use a Nuke's on Iran against America wishes. It is in their modus Opraendi. They will cause a major attack against US bases resulting in thousands of US Young troops killed, maimed, slaughtered and world war. Our economy will go into the Pitts. But not before gas prices soar like we have never seen. A new recession. A weaker defense against China. No one is even talking about Taiwan now.
Iran is not Iraq. Iran is 5 times the size in land, a population of almost 100 million vs 7 million in Israel.. A mountainous region that will make a conventional war impossible without the slaughter of American Military.

Pray for Peace. President Trump in my humble opinion does not want WAR. But he is surrounded by Neocon and Chicken war hawks.

This is a picture of Israel handiwork. The USS Liberty-They did this once and they will have no problem doing it again.

Thirty-four dead, 171 wounded after two air attacks with rockets, 30mm cannonfire, and napalm, then torpedo attack and strafing fire with 50 caliber machine guns from IDF torpedo boats. Already posted this info on this thread earlier.

I dislike being used. The IDF knew they couldn't destroy Fordow nuke facility before they started this war, in fact since 2009 when it became public. Not our problem.

Israel is the single biggest recipient of US foreign aid and has been since 1949.

Even remember? Seriously? I think I can safely say that most of us will never forget! I joined the Navy in 1979 and at the time, it was recent history. I served with a lot of guys who were junior sailors in 1967 and nearing the end of their Naval careers in the early ‘80s that absolutely hated Israel over that supposed case of mistaken identity and subsequent coverup. I also have a friend and retired co-worker that was a bosun mate on the USS America at the time and helped pull the dead and wounded off the helos sent to the Liberty for evacuation. Sailors talk, and he says it was common knowledge amongst the crew that McNamara purposefully recalled the planes that were going to the defense of the Liberty while the attack was still underway.

So basically, they gave us back $3 million of the $3 billion we gave them that year for slaughtering 34 Americans.

Yeah, don’t get me started on the USS Liberty attack.

Iran has been successfully striking US assets with impunity since 1979 when the Islamic Regime seized power, and with deadly results.

And we've paid them back in any number of non-headline incidents, especially since '92.

How many Houthis (Iranian proxies in Yemen) do you suppose we've killed in the last year?
 
I am just a simple retired construciton worker, I have had no higher education, political or diplomatic training, but it is a mystery to me, why, if we are considering becoming involved in a fight in that part of the world, that we don't go after the nation that provided the money and manpower for the attack on our cities on Sept. 11. If my neighbor on my right burned down my home, why would I go after the neighbor on my left?

The Houthis aren't Iranians, they're merely the disposable surrogates and expendable proxy assets of the mullahs who comprise the Iranian Islamic Regime.

And no, "we" haven't "paid" Iran, more accurately its Islamic rulers, "back" for it's actions.

You're aware Houthis have embedded Iranian advisors?

Qassem Solermani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis certainly weren't low-level expendables. We killed them and publicized it, unlike quiet small-unit actions against Iranians and their proxies in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and elsewhere.

Iran is not our friend, they are Russia's friend. But we didn't fly into Iran and bomb the country without warning either. Israel started it; not up to us to finish it.

A colleague who enlisted (USN) in '73 and retired as a Master Chief in '94 spent most of his time as an ELINT cryptologist. Word in their circle was the IDF knew precisely what the Liberty was doing there (electronic intelligence-gathering) and didn't want us to know what they were doing, to whom they were doing it, how, and why.

One thing is clear to any of us watching: There is good in the world, and there is evil, and that has been true since Cain slew Abel. When good confronts evil, war happens. What is good, and what is evil, is often simply in the eyes of the beholder, which is why both the Allies and the Axis prayed to God for victory in World War II! In the case of Iran, it seems clear that Iran is evil, given their support for Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis, and statements about destroying "The Little Satan" (Israel) and "The Great Satan" (United States). I have been to war; war is not good for children or other living things. BUT... sometimes war is necessary, to destroy evil. Simple, really.

Those two indivduals who, among others, planned and ordered the deaths of Americans weren't low level expendables.

Neither were our people in Beirut, Iraq, and Afghanistan who were murdered by the Islamic Iranian Regime run by the black robes.

And yes, the Houthis who were engaged in attacking Americans did, indeed, have Iranian QUDS Forces advisors, rendering them enemy combatants and therefore, legitimate military targets.

Both The United States and Israel have provided years of warning to the mullahs that they would be bombed in the event they continued building nuclear weapons; warnings which they chose to ignore in continuation of their pursuit of nuclear bombs and ballistic missiles with which to deliver them.
