Flea Market 29-2

Went to outdoor flea market /gun show to sell a few guns.
Failed , picked up three including this 29-2 .
It is a 4” three T gun in nickel. Nickel not perfect
So price was steeply discounted.
After shooting it in yard ,while wife was hanging out laundry
she has named it the G/D chrome cannon.

I believe it was 1980 or81 for the ones
Like shown on my gun.

Mine is N647xxx, so 79-80 per the catalog. So close to the change it seems.

Dave-now you have done it. I just bought the same gun a couple months ago. And now every time I shoot/display it all I am going to be thinking is "Check out my G/D chrome cannon." Maybe I will have a plaque made for the box with that logo

I got the wooden box with it but papers and tools are not with it.

Beautiful of course! Mine came with that case and tools and was my EDC for years but kept it in the safe too long- the cylinder release will not move forward. I shall keep lubing it and lubing it and lubing it and.....

No 29 collection is complete wiithoit a 4” nickel it would seem.

I really miss several nickle Smith's from years gone by. Still trying to replace them one at a time

My first 29-2 was a 6 1/2" Nickel 3T's RR WO. I really miss it as it just felt perfect. Decided I needed 4" packin gun for hunting. So swapped it for Magn-Ported blued 4" 29-2. One of my bigger mistakes. That Nickel finished front sight with the red ramp was like a lazer. It was a great gun for pin shooting amongst other games and hunting.

Take some Flitz to it and see if you can get the oxidation off the nickel. And all M29-s are 3T.
