Went to the Hoover (Birmingham) AL show this past weekend and picked up this 5 screw Highway Patrolman. Has some blue wear at the muzzle and non-matching serial numbered grips otherwise pretty good condition. Serial # S 12058X so I'm guessing 1955. Seller was adamant that this old holster had to go with the deal. It doesn't fit the 357 but looks like it will be perfect for a 6" K frame. I was pleasantly surprised when I looked at the back.

For what it's worth, S12020X shipped in October of 1954, with S12027X and S12085X both going out in January of 1955. All of these were also 6".
