I'm looking for help identifying this striker block. It appears to have a profile that is different from the factory striker blocks I've seen. Is it a version of factory, maybe Performance Center, Apex, Overwatch Precision, other? Your help is appreciated.slide.webp

The striker block in your pic looks like the one S&W installs in their performance center guns. The pic below shows two that I got from S&W a while back with their part number.

Apex also has one that is very similar.

Thank you Mike. The pictured striker that I received in my slide came from the factory in my new Shield. I guess I got lucky. I'm thinking about taking it out to polish to smooth out the trigger.

My PC CORE slide came with that one. It seems like it's a "lottery" now for non-PC guns to have that SB.

It seems it's a bit of a "lottery" for PC guns now too. My Shield Plus PC Carry Comp (box date 9/5/24) came with a square edge striker block. S&W sent me the two shown in post #2 when I complained about a gritty trigger.

Just caught this thread before I started to clean my Sheild Plus CC.
Excuse the dirt and grime in the pic, just ran 200 rds through her.
My block is not flat but not rounded like the others.
Is mine a different design?

That's the most common one that has a beveled edge. IMO, it gives the trigger a more pronounced 'wall' than the radiused/rounded striker block that comes in a lot of PC guns.

My apologies to the OP for hijacking his thread.

To toddstang, your Shield Plus CC appears to have the same SB that mine came with – what I call a Standard SB. I complained to S&W about the SB not being like my other PC guns (3) and the gritty trigger. They never did admit it was the wrong SB, but they sent me two of what I call the PC (rounded) SB's.

With some polishing of the SB, trigger bar, and a few other things, my Shield Plus CC now has a very smooth trigger.

The pics below show the original SB on the left, versus one of the replacements from S&W.
