I'm craving some gun porn of your J frames. Show me some pics and tell me some stories.

Here's my plain jane 442,

This model 36 no dash, serial# 2010XX belongs to my Mother. She bought it used at a gunshop while we were recently on an out of town doctor visit. She has only recently gotten into collecting/obtaining S&Ws, although she is a lifelong hunter and shooter. She sent off for a factory letter not long after obtaining the gun. When the letter arrived she said she wished this gun could talk. The letter states that the gun was part of a Japanese Government contract and that it was shipped from Smith & Wesson on 12-8-1960, and was delivered to Nikko Industries in Tokyo, Japan. How it got from Japan down to south Mississippi I don't know, but I bet it had an interesting trip!

I love this gun. A guy I know traded into it and I really wanted it. I didn't have the cash. He said "No problem" and held onto it for almost three months until my money got right. It shoots well.

I carried this 3 incher every day for many years. I shot it a lot too. It is still tight and good. It is pretty much retired now though.

Model 642
I used to carry this gun a lot. I used to run about 9-12 miles a week and I carried this gun in a fanny pack. It has spent a lot of time covered in sweat. It hasn't really been shot that much.

Model 640
I carry this gun everyday now in a Kramer pocket holster. I guess I could carry the 642 but I like this gun.

This is my wife's Model 36. She keeps it in her vehicle. She has never shot anyone with it but she has pointed it a few folks who suddenly remembered they had somewhere else to be.

This is one of my favorite fun guns. I don't shoot it as much as I used to. I need to break it back out.

I was actually carrying a 4 5/8" Super Blackhawk when we caught these fish which turned out good since I shot a hog going down to the boat one morning. I just wanted to show off. If someone will donate a 4" Smith 629 I will carry it next time

Here's a pic of my four Centennial J Frame S&Ws..
The First an Anodized 642 No Dash wearing Spegels
The Second a 940 which has been reamed to 38 Super also wearing Spegels
The Third is another factory 940 wearing Checkered Spegels
The Fourth is a 342Ti 12ozer wearing Spegels in this pic
The 342Ti is for sale in the Classifieds
I have a fettish with these Centennials & Spegels
When somethings good you stick with it..

And here's the closest thing to a BBQ gun I've got in a J frame. I may be gifting this one to a buddy soon. It's a Model 40-1 with bonded ivory grips and a Tyler T grip adapter.

Here's a Model 60 from the very first batch, with factory original high-polish finish. There were just 39 guns in that initial run; by serial number this is the 37th:
