I'm a big fan of these holsters from the movies. I bought mine in 1985 after watching Silverado. $200 shipped as I recall. If you happen to have one can I see it?

I remember back in the late 50's he made a lot of rigs for the western tv shows and I think instructed a lot of them in fast draw. I have some old gun magazines and he used to advertise in them. I dont own any though I have no single actions. Jeff

This is not a Arvo Ojala but it kind of looks the same. It is a Lawrence from 1965. I think it is the Gunfighter and it cost $133.65. The Python cost $125.00 plus tax. I have the original grips but the rubber feels better to an old mans hands. Larry

Not sure if they're related.

Alphonso's of Hollywood is supposed to been done by some of the same people who ran Arvo Ojala. That's my understanding anyways.

I purchased this "James Arness" rig from Alphonso's of Hollywood, around 1976, to fit a Ruger Super BlackHawk 7 1/2".

Nice rig but, I no longer have the gun and I appear to have "swelled" past the sizing of the belt anyways.

ps - PM me if you're interested in purchasing.
