In my law enforcement days(OSHP- years ago-we had the Model 10's with 4" heavy barrel ) never wore concealed but now that I'm approaching five years concealed carry and in my late 60's I'm looking for a reasonably priced IWB holster but primarily for use in the up coming hot summer months . Have never owned a IWB . Saw this on the GALCO site and others and it's fairly well reviewed (pricing $28-32). I realize not the top of the line but mainly looking for comfort(If possible for a IWB :)) One of the things that never was addressed in any of the reviews was what effect moisture (sweat) would have on these holsters ? Have read that horse hide repels better that cowhide .

Have carried the 4513TSW for a long time now . (Now a proud owner of the Governor for the house-Love it.) Own a few other S&W's but nothing like the beautifully crafted weapons I've seen on this forum . Maybe Santa Claus or some of my old retired Marine buddies will go together and buy me a new 686 Plus . I seriously doubt it . What a beautiful revolver . Off track-sorry.

I have one of these holsters for my Glock 17 but I don't use it to carry it. I store my Glock 17 in it when going to and from work to have the trigger covered. I have had the holster for over 5 years. It has really molded to the gun, holds it well even when just thrown onto the passenger seat or into a gear bag.

I don't really carry IWB with it, so I can't speak to the sturdiness of the clip over time, but it is a good, strong clip.

Now, with all that being said, it depends on the gun you're using. I would not use it for CCW a larger handgun. My reason is because it uses one clip, and for a larger framed gun, I prefer to have either two clips or two belt loops to help support the weight of the gun over the belt. Also, reholstering with the Stow-n-Go might be an issue if that's something you're concerned about.

I wouldn't be concerned about the one clip if for a small gun. I carry my Colt Mustang in something similar up front as appendix carry without issue. But I think the weight of a larger gun might be a little different.

Galco Stow and Go is all I use. Comfortable, easy on and off... low riding and very concealable. Plus they are cheap so if they wear out, which none of mine have after years of use... you can replace them easily.

Use them for my Glocks and revolvers

Thanks dubshooter and en07 for the replies and pics . Have ordered a Galco stow-n-go for the 4513TSW . I have been using a old leather cell phone holder for an extra 6 round mag . It has a flip over top with a strong velcro closure that holds it snug and easy to retrieve quickly . By the way , some nice pistols you have there .

I've tried these and similar. Never like one. The single contact point puts all the weight in that one spot and adds bulk. Prefer the 2 clips spread our wide

I read the original title Sto-N-Glow and was confused about carrying concealed with a holster that glowed? 😙
To the OP, just some humor! As if any of us hasn't been bit by spellchek, accuchek, or wild fingers! 😛
Been try different holsters over the years, and for concealed, keep coming back to pocket carry with a holster. Body types vary, and with age even that has limiting factors due to individual circumstances. Glad the Galco is working for you! 😃

Ok , title corrected . :) My mom use to tell me , " Rich , you would never make it in a spelling bee ! " :) Although , glowing holsters on the bad guys might help an old man like me pick up the target a little quicker :D

I have used the Stow-n-Go for a Glock G19 (for 10 years) kind of like dubshooter mentioned. It works well for transition or transporting. But, I have in a pinch used it with the G19 for short duration carry (running a quick errand). I am actually using one with a M&P Shield now and find that it works well. I don't imagine that the design would be great for larger handguns, but is good with medium to smaller sizes.

I just got one for my shield. Won't be my main carry holster but for something quick and easy, it's great. Very comfortable appendix. Don't reholster without using both hands, but you're not gonna pull the gun unless something bad happens. Reholstering will be the least of your problems. Well worth the money.
