Lobo holster review
I just received my new Lobo offset clip IWB holster for a SIG P224 in 40 S&W. I have two other Lobo holsters of the same design but for revolvers. I found the P224 to be very reliable and it has the DAK action so the trigger is a lot like a nice revolver. I decided to start carrying it. I liked these holsters a lot and ordered this one to fit the SIG. I want to share some pictures and my thoughts. The fit, boning and finish are better than ever. I asked for additional front sight clearance. You can see that on the last picture.
I live in S.C. It gets hot here and sweat is a way of life if you do anything outside. These horse hide holsters don't absorb sweat as fast and dry out very quickly. I just wipe them off and put a bit of shoe polish on them and they look great. I have one Lobo for a M649 that has been carried a lot and still looks very handsome.
My pictures do not do this holster justice.

I don't know why the pictures are upside down. They looked fine in the post preview.

Personally, I would recommend the Kiwi neutral. Much less chance of dye transfer to your clothing or body. Should only be applied to the exterior smooth surfaces in very light applications, buffed off with a soft cloth.
Very nice holster. Very professionally made. Kind of reminds me of something. OH YES! Now I remember. I was the founder of Lobo Gun Leather and the original designer of this holster, now being made by my successors in the business (Fedders family, Orange City, Iowa).
Best regards from Retirement Land!

I am a HUGE FAN of Horsehide! I have a bunch of Kramer's and have been quite impressed with the Horsehide's advantages over Cowhide. MUCH tougher, thinner, retains shape better, less sweat absorption, and IMHO just a much better leather to make a holster from. Before I owned one (about 12 + years ago) I was a bit skeptical but I am now a believer.....
