Wallet Holster in front pocket
Hey, I'm thinking of getting a Wallet Holster for my LCP. I don't plan on back pocket carry, I would carry in my front right pocket. I like the idea of the wallet look to hide in the front pocket plus when drawing the gun you push out the square panel to catch the pocket to insure the holster remains in the pocket. What'ya think? Anybody ever try this, do you see any down falls? I've been looking at Talon and Stoner, but really like HolsterPro #72. Uncle George is well made but the is sewed to the gun pocket on both sides and does not allow the square panel to push out on the draw. Recommend a favorite brand if you got one. All thoughts appreciated.

I have been carrying that way for the past 9 or 10 years. There's nothing better for concealability or comfort. I carried a Bersa .380 for a couple of years, and have been carrying a Smith 642 since.

When I pocket carry my Kahr PM9, which is often, it's always in a FIST Kydex pocket holster. It's thin and allows for easy reholstering.

Getting some good advice here folks. Nick, that Kramer is really nice, but kind of pricey for the meager LCP (old one, not even the LCP II) JMACE57, what brand wallet holster do you use? John D. Fist definitely makes some nice stuff, but I think I want to try the wallet holster, just for something different. Andy, +1 on the Aholster, I have two. the pocket holster for my J Frame is perfect, he really hit a home run with that one, and if I pocket carry the J that's what it rides in. But the Aholster pocket holster for my LCP prints like crazy and sometimes falls forward. So I usually pocket carry the LCP in a remora. The Remora works fine, just a little thick. Thanks again for all the advice, keep it coming.

Does me no good. Believe it or not wallet holsters are specifically prohibited in the People's Republic of California. Too sneaky I guess. A robber might get shot by somebody. Can't have that.

Alabama holsters makes some really good kydex pocket holsters. A bit pricey, but worth every penny.

I have a Hedley wallet style holster for my Keltec P32 which has the same form factor as your LCP. My particular holster has a rectangular flap to break up the gun's profile, which it does very well.
I originally purchased it for use in my rear pocket. I eventually came to prefer carrying it in the front pocket. When in my rear pocket, the flap would put tension against my fingers during a draw which hindered easy access to grasping the grip. I don't seem to have as much tension in my front pocket (I tend to wear either BDU's or Dockers style pants).
In my pants, it just looks like i am carrying a wallet in my front pocket. I have subsequently switched primarily to pocket carrying a J-frame (for other reasons). Even though bulkier/larger, the J-frame's more rounded shape prints differently and is less evident in my pocket.

I have this burgundy leather square pocket holster, made by Strong.
It was obviously made for a small semi-automatic & not my J Frame.
If you want to try it, just let me know your adddress by PM, and I will
send it to you. Gratis of course.
