Red can you tell us when Bianchi introduced the #19/#19L High Ride version. Was this one of your designs? Thanks

I was told off here via PM for being a pompous know-it-all about gunleather (which I absolutely am!) the other day. So I decline to share my knowledge any further. This comes at a good time though because this is the best informed forum on gunleather at present; I had a look at 1911Forum yesterday (where I have a lifetime ban, see what I mean?) and those forum members don't even know what they don't know.

I've only checked back in for a PM from a chap who once lived in my State of Queensland :-). W/b rare to do this again.

Red, I hope that you will reconsider this decision. Your knowledge of the leather holster making industry is beyond priceless as you are still alive and kicking..... it isn't often that people such as you are still around to answer questions and to give insight to the inner-workings of the industry and historical facts of same. I was a law enforcement officer for many years and dealt with so many jug-heads that always seemed to know my job better than I did and were not afraid to tell me so. I learned to ignore the stupidos and did so because I always found people who were very gracious and supportive of my efforts...

I have been a user of Mr. Bianchi's products for as long as I can remember. My first holster was a Model 3, black basketweave for my issue Model 15 that I bought when I was a Deputy Sheriff for Los Angeles County. I have continued to be a user of many, many Bianchi leather products for some time. When I learned that you were a regular contributor on this forum I was just downright thrilled. I have always looked to see if you have any comments for any threads in the leather goods section of this forum.

Please don't leave this venue where your efforts and contributions make such a positive and interesting impact.

Your knowledge is valued here by the silent majority .

It makes me sad to see the knowing shut down and silenced by the vocal few who think only what they believe is right .

Please don't go ... I have always valued your experience greatly and will sorely miss your presence . (Don't let the fools win)

I'm in agreement with the above posters.........your knowledge is much appreciated here and it would be a shame if you allowed someone that's apparently jealous of your expertise to bully you off the forum. Hope you will reconsider.

Don

Add me to your supporters. Those who disagree with you are free to post THEIR world-class opinion as well. Us adults can sort it out.

Knowledge is meant to be shared!

Red,
Opinions are like ********, everyone has one, some are just bigger than others! And it appears the vast number of opinions on this site want you back!
Knowledge is meant to be shared with others. If somebody doesn't agree with your knowledge, they don't have to listen!
Don't let the loud mouths drive you off, it happens to all of us at one time or another.
Your posts are enjoyed by us for their knowledge, truth, history and plain old good information.
Food for thought, I for one hope you reconsider!
KEEP THE FAITH

I am fairly new to the forum. I am an old man now that has carried a hand gun most all my adult life. I know what works for me as to leather goods and thought I knew how to care for the equipment. You sir, have taken me to school and I greatly enjoy reading any post you place... Your intellectual property is, of course, yours and yours alone but for the benefit of the vast majority on the forum I would ask that you please continue on with us...

Thank you for your consideration.

I have known Red for about 10 years, as long as he has been a member
here on the forum. In that time I have been on the receiving end of his
pompousity quite a few times, but I must say I usually learned something.

Know it all? He does know a lot, but not all. If you read his previous posts
you will find that he is quick to plead the mia copa whenever he is wrong.

All those who have mentioned disappointment at his exit, take heart.
He has done this before, and if I were a betting man I would bet he
will be back.

There are pompous people, and then there are pompous people. :D I can tolerate quite a bit from someone who can "put his money where his mouth is." The other type, well, not so much.

And I don't necessarily agree with everything that may come from the ones who can put their money where their mouth is, but I can respect their experience. Often it may seem "misguided" to me, but it's their experience, and it seems valuable to them. :D This stuff is a hobby, not a war. :)
