Hey all I'm considering a Kramer pocket holster for my J frame. My question is for those here who use a Kramer pocket holster for your J frame will the Kramer pocket holster fit a J frame that has crimson trace laser grips on it like mine does? Thanks for any help.

I have a j frame Kramer pocket holster. I don't see why the Crimson Trace grips wouldn't fit.

I can't answer with certainty, but I think it will. I owned a J frame CT Lasergrip for a short time, but never carried with them. I did use them for dry-fire practice, but ended up selling them off.

MY Kramer is close to 20 years old and has seen a lot of regular use. These old Rogers combat grips are close to the same size and there's a little extra room on the right side. The photos may help with your decision.

Looks like it would work thank so much for your reply and help on this.

What retains the holster in your pocket when you draw the pistol? I am asking as I have a KelTec P-11 I want to pocket carry, and I expect the holster to stay in the pocket.

With a little practice, it stays put just fine. The forward top edge of the holster flares out enough that you can catch it on the inside front of your pocket.

That part of the holster also acts as a hammer protector if you're carrying a Chief Special. In that case, you position your thumb on that same spot when you take your grip and push off on the holster with your thumb while drawing. That positions your thumb over the hammer on the draw, which prevents it from snagging on the front of your pocket.

Pocket carry isn't quite as fast on the draw as belt carry, but it's very convenient and eliminates the need for a cover garment. It also allows you to covertly get the gun in your hand, without anyone knowing.

If anyone here has read my posts they will know I am a Kramer Fanboy! I love their Horsehide Holsters!

The one exception I have is for pocket holsters. I pocket carry often and leather is uncomfortable, hot, heavy and too stiff for pocket carry IMHO. The best pocket holster I've ever found is a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster! They are extremely light, soft and comfortable, sweat won't affect them and it won't penetrate the holster. They are also quite reasonably priced and they last a decade - and that's using it every day! For something like a M36/60, Sig P365, Hellcat, etc. the DeSantis Nemesis is in my opinion unbeatable.

Yes to your question, CT grips will work fine with the Kramer pocket holster, no worries.
