I’m testing the waters to see if anyone has tried this (with some success): I wanted to mount this holster, if the pics work, with Velcro to the passenger side of my console. I don’t want to drill holes in the plastic sides of the console. The three guns that will fit the holster is a GP100, 6”; a Model 629-6, 6”; and a 4” barrel Model 27-9. I’m wondering if the glue on the hook & loop tape would hold up in the hot weather, windows up, or maybe the cold weather. Gun will not stay in the car when I’m not. The heaviest gun is the Ruger loaded, at just under 3 1/2 lbs.
The car is only a ‘20 Chevy Malibu, so I don’t think the Velcro glue is gonna make much of a dealbreaker.
Any tips or suggestions are welcome. For this thread I have put on my thicker skin. Gun would be covered with a rag of some sort, too.
